yes uehara is amazing!!he came in the league the same year matsuzaka did. he was suppsed to go to the majors after the wbc... but unfortunately he's team the giants started to do bad after, and that caused him to shine less then he used to... but he's still a great pitcher...in my oppinion THE best in japan!!! better then kuroda (kuroda is also a great pitcher)

I've been watching him for 9 years while he was part of Dragons, and he is typical mistake hitter, mostly fastball. He can hit breaking ball after he's in the hall, but easily swing-and-miss off speed pitch, especially change-ups.

There are very few pitchers in Japanese league who pitches very good change-up, so I predict he needs some long time to adjust himself to MLB... will produce many struck-outs before summer.

Plus we have kicked the White Sox' butts the past couple of years. All your players are either washed up i.e. (Thome, Contreras) or are no better than average i.e. (Pysynski, Cabrera, Konerko). CubsRule06, '06 the cubs didn't do to well that year either. As for the 07'sox, lost a gold glove third basemen to injury, all three leadoff hitters out hurt at one time, not to mention losing Pablo Ozuno for the whole year. Plus our 3-4-5 hitters all had a down year. I don't think the chances of that happening again are very high. I guessing the sox will probably be able to win a couple more then the salary emploided team on the northside. Have fun at the parade next year, not!!

last year derrek lee had a down year, soriano missed a chunk of the season, zambrano was not consistent and our right fielders combined for 8 homeruns. and yet we won the central. just imagine what its going to be like with a healthy soriano, fukudome (just signed for 4 years), soto at catcher the whole year, a full season with marmol and wood out of the pen and whatever else we will add this offseason
