This island is Kanna's experimental base.

In the first season they go to this island by mistake.

Yes. If you combine the three (four w/ OVA) series together, you get the entire story which, to no surprise, is only slightly longer than your standard 26'er anime.

OVA -> HL -> Advance -> Final
