  • I can't watch this without thinking of the Ride impersonation on The Mary Whitehouse Experience

  • The early 90s ,floppy hair, The Word .Sometimes i wish i was a kid again.

  • 0:31 Who flew Andy Dick out for this? Rookie mistake.

  • I loved the Word.

  • What a groove Nice one lads

  • I remember this on C4, The Word was Fooookin brilliant!

  • genial!!!!!!!!!!

  • I saw them in Oxford in the very early nineties, playing in a college refrectory, with no stage. Most people there did not "get" them. I danced so much I fell over!!! The greatest night of my life, from what I can remember. Love this band!

  • Saw Mark Gardener today at a Q&A after the film about Creation Records. What a cool band :)

  • Without a doubt one of the finest live bands I've ever seen. Their sound just steamrolled over you.

  • yep great drummer

  • back in the days when more people liked decent music, unlike today.

  • Saw them on this tour in the states, the show was incredible. Sadly they never returned but this was one of the greatest shows I've seen to this day.

  • Wow, this rocks. And it has this beautiful psychedelic vibe to it. Brilliant.

  • sheff1990..octagan!!.and The verve..effin orsum;-)

  • ELECTRIC CHILD HOUSE

myspace them they are like the new decade's ride

  • man, Creation were so good. Just listened to The Telescopes. Got this EP with Grasshopper on it I think....those were the days

  • @7223Tanya Creation & Independente Records were the best!

  • @stoddyhmfc but Independiente has Travis, Embrace, Paul Weller and So Solid Crew, so that can't be true!

  • great bass line in this

  • ya man Ride had some real sick bass lines

  • stampede is my favorite. crazy reggae touch to it

  • the great sound of ride I wanna explosed my head thanks, bye.

  • Should one be high while listening to their music?

  • no...:S

  • pot and ride are a good combo

but being high is never necessary when listening to good music.

  • nobody mentions the great bass line. When I first heard this I just had to get ,y hands on a stingray!

  • the drummer is also great...

  • @IvyMike777 He's an unbelieveably awesome drummer! He should have been huge. Ride should have been huge.

  • I used to love gettin into theose chunky basslines! They anchor the whole song to the floor and give it a good kickin so that it writhes around! Might be slow and easy to play but they really are so involved, used to love jamming along with record on the bass to (all) their albums!!!

  • This show owned.

  • Reform The Stone Roses ???? FUCK THAT! REFORM RIDE !

  • @jandean61 agrree with you there mate !!!!

  • ahh a classic from Going Blank Again, though I preferred Nowhere personally, a great cd neither less much better than Carnival Of Light era stuff, though that album had some good songs, 1000 miles and the re release has Don't Let It Die, too bad they ended on a bad note with Tarantula

  • oh ye i'm sure you fuckin wankers know way more about ride than the kids dancing AT THE FUCKIN RIDE PERFORMANCE IN '92 you stupid shitheads, it's because of dumb cunts like yourself that they broke up. i suppose you'd rather they stand there with their arms folded??? idiots.

  • agree on the posing prats who dont give a toss about the song....what a tune though..takes me back to being 18

  • Classic Song that will stand out in that loaded era

  • Comment removed

  • The Ride drummer is up there with Reni (Stone Roses), Matt Holders (Arctic Monkeys) and John Densmore (The Doors)!!!

  • martin gilkes the wonderstuff ruins all if you dont agree have a look at them live you may learn a thing or two

  • Never heard the Wonderstuff guy to be honest. I'll check him out though as i've always got time to appreciate quality drumming. (i meant Matt Helders, not Holders oops)

  • Okay weird, because I'm at the front too. Can't believe I've just found this, as I was such a fan, still am kind of. Wilkoman?? I reckon I know who you are!

  • Shoegaze!

  • Would love to have lived in London in the late 80s/early 90s. Was too young and too poor to travel. Shame that London is not one of my most hated cities...

  • I loved The Word and Ride. I can't believe I missed this performance back then. The Word, wasn't that the best???!!! Wasn't it considered pretty groundbreaking for the early 90s? Thanks so much for posting. I love Mark Gardeners new stuff. Great stuff! Check it out.
