check "ZeroFossilFuel" here in YouTube, he is also building HHO units. He has a nice flash back protection. He is using some thin plastic which will break in case of flash back. Check his videos for more details.
All the 304 Stainless was scrap from CNC machining center doors that wrecked and were replaced. The HDPE, (Black Plastic, UHMW cost me around 50 dollars. These plates were conditioned for a while and sanded then cleaned used rubber gloves to put them in the cell and used distilled water and low concentration of KOH on the first test with this cell. Good place to get stainless is Metal Express on the net. Use them a lot at work. Will give online instant prices also.
Deffinitely something that I have been thinking about as well. Some of the video's I have seen at higher voltage don't work as well as yours. I have heard it thrown about to actually attain the resonance frequency of water we would need to be pulsing Volts in the thousands? What would happen if I hooked up an ignition coil with a pulse circuit? As long as I give the coil time to "Reload", it would be pulsing at 50,000 volts? Just something I have been rolling around for a while.
You should consider making HHO cell power supplies for high voltage users. Like a mdbreed toroid/rectified/full wave/pulsed/efie super box for those who don't have the time to get an electronics degree. Something that will be only a few connections and knobs for adjustment of the pwm and efie. Just a thought. No one has done it yet.
if your running caustic electrolytes and switch to acidic -the acids will clean the plates of the conditioning layer.and the cell will need to be reconditioned.
What about White Vinagar? Alot if people have been having good results? Have you gotten any milage results with your previous cells? I have been watching for a while and am considering rectifying ac. Can you give any advice?

I think they are pretty close to the same price. 10lbs of Potassium Hydroxide is around $21.00 and Potassium Carbonate is around $15.00. from Ebay.
