It's very wonderful from inside and same from out but you know it's diffrent like Avalon in Middle East. The dealer here in Saudi Arabia changed the Navigation and he put another one with black clore Which seems bad.

one nice car this is.. i have the 09.. sweet engine quite fast too the only downside is its FWD which when u hammer it.. you get lot of front wheel spin sometimes traction control interferes and slows u down which is annoying, and you get a lot of torque steer.. but for normal driving its an excellent car

You forget you're in a toyota, it feels like a lexus inside for about half the price lol.

Avalon is dumped in the near future and there is talk's from Toyota on a Camry Xl extended wheelbase. This 2011 model is buying time till Toyota figures out the direction If Avalon is still going to be called that. My sources within Toyota say the Avalon nameplate is going to be phased out.

genesis ride is too hard. Some of us simply like no nonsense cruising and have no use for sport suspension + rear wheel drive from the genesis.

Also, RWD is not just for sports cars. It offers superior handling and it eliminates understeer which can be very dangerous.

I see what you mean by "no nonsense cruising" so if that's what you want, then this is the better car.

So basically the Avalon is still living up to it's Olds-mans-car reputation.

whats the point of superior handling when north american roads are laid out in grids? I can see why some who take frequent road trips through mountains like the genesis more but MOST of us just need a comfortable car that can go in a straight line without drama.

@Konig1985 I understand. As for me, well, I'm a car enthusiast and frequently take my cars to the track.

I own a heavily modified Hyundai Sonata and a Supercharged Infiniti G37 convertible. (I mean real modifications BTW, not stupid expensive rims and extra loud mufflers. I'm not one of those dumb teenagers)

So anyway, this IS a nice car inside and out and it fits it's purpose as a comfortable luxury saloon. I think my parents would love this car.

What a disapointment...

Toyota disegners must rethink the concept of the car they applied in this Avalon.

I'll tell you sincerely - to say "I've expected way much more" is to say nothing. They didn't just stand still when everyone esle is at least trying to move forward, they've jumped back!

This car doesn't even have a look that will attract my interest if I sudenly see it on the road. I didn't see anything new, innovative in this car. Take a look at those flat seats, old fashioned dashboard with an ugly console. I fell in love with the previous Avalon and I was realy looking forward to meeting the new one. But the new one appeared to be a "heartbreaking" one.

I'm very sorry for Toyota...

When you factor room, performance, amenities, and fuel efficiency. You will find it hard to find another vehicle that offers so much at its price. While I am slightly disappointed in 2011 avalon, i realize that this isnt a true redesign and more a refresher. With the care sales down and the avalon in a tougher segment with people moving to smaller cars i understand strategy.

I like Avalon's but Toyota is not staying strong in competition with the other Luxury vehicles in it's class. The interior and exterior design is just a bit boring. The best the thing about this car is that it's extremely spacious inside. The leg room in the back seats is the best! The Avalon is still on point with that.
