i tried to use my command prompt has admin but it dosent let me, i right-click and when i click nothing happends so i went in its compatibility and it says "the compatibilities of this program cannot be changed because its part of this version of windows" ??

guys, i have home premium, and my aero is already enabled, but im using a custom theme that i really like, but the only think i dont like is that its too dark, so how can i make it more transparent? like using regedit or something

You'd have to get the author to do that for you, unless you are able to go into hex editing to go and fix the theme. To be honest, that involves changing the whole colour scheme, which is a bit of work.

hi all. i just did all this on a copy of home basic, it works. the uxsms and regedit will fool windows into telling your machine its got premium features (enable aero themes) no transparency sadly but if you have nvidia graphics card/style xp software you can enable it.

That was the EXACT same with me!! But I gott Itt!! you go into personalise/displaysettings/an­d then you switch itt from 16 bit to 32 bit color, and then it works finee!

That's a different story, first you have to get patched UxTheme.dll files, and then replace your system files, and then download a visual style that has a different start button or more.

I have vista ultimate but I found It goes much faster if you keep the theme on classic or vista basic. So i do.
