I love it Ron Paul puts on his politician hat at the beginning of every interview. Usually he has to baby the interviewer, and use simple terms to describe economics. When he finds someone who knows his/her stuff on economics his face lights up, he's engaged, and that's when the interview really picks up.

Well said there. Abolishing the Fed is a monumental undertaking, but it's really hard to say that the Fed shouldn't be audited, considering the huge role they are playing in our economy, and in an age where the word "transparency" is thrown about so much by those in power.
You must be careful here, because I have my suspicions this MSNBC interviewer has a problem with the Fed because he views it as a "capitalist" tool, ie: the misguided view many people share that says capitalism = the Fed in bed with financiers, in bed with politicians in D.C. real "free market capitalism" is that the govt only runs on two basic laws.
1. Do all you have agreed to do. (Contract law)

Look, all the fed does is convert promissory notes into money to then loan back to you. the "creating money out of thin air" idea is bogus - despite them doing it...Here's an idea why...maybe, because what that is is their "guess" of how many promissory notes or BONDS will come to them to either hold or borrow...sometime's guess is more, sometimes guess is less. yeah but the money is created through loans and is done by printing a fiat currency. It floods the market with money and there is always subsequent inflation. One day there wil be so many dollars that it will be 1000 dollars for a gallon of milk at this rate.

Each round of auctions there's bonds that nobody wants...And the Fed picks those up, and converts that into paper money (or checkable deposit) and lends THAT into the economy, or back to the GOVT to then SPEND into the economy

Last I heard, it was 277. There is no magic number of co-sponsors needed to pass the bill, but certainly the more the better.

I love it Ron Paul puts on his politician hat at the beginning of every interview. Usually he has to baby the interviewer, and use simple terms to describe economics. When he finds someone who knows his/her stuff on economics his face lights up, he's engaged, and that's when the interview really picks up.

You must be careful here, because I have my suspicions this MSNBC interviewer has a problem with the Fed because he views it as a "capitalist" tool, ie: the misguided view many people share that says capitalism = the Fed in bed with financiers, in bed with politicians in D.C. These are the same people who think the current crisis was caused by "greedy bankers." Absolute b.s. A central bank, which the Fed is, is a central tenet of communism. The Fed = Fascism NOT Capitalism.

unfortunately i dont have a phd in free market economics, go figure right? i just no bits and pieces of whats wrong with our system and directions we need to go. ron paul is the only one who actually makes sense when he talks about money and free market capitalism. i learned just bits and pieces from the web and documentaries like money masters, those guys no a lot and when you get the big picture you understand it all better.

real "free market capitalism" is that the govt only runs on two basic laws.
1. Do all you have agreed to do. (Contract law)
2. Do not encroach on other persons or their property. (theft and violence are illegal) You can not force people to do something they do not want to do.
Thats it. You are free to engage in anything you want as long as you dont break rules 1 & 2. Govt provides only basic functions to protect 1 & 2. Police, judges, national defense. nothing else.

what happens after an audit. Probably chaos. Dollar will crash on the international market, hyperinflation will probably come quickly, and Obama will have to call marshall law to get everything under control. The Fed and govt will blame the audit for the problem and try to take more power. The real problem never addressed. Starts all over again

I agree. It MAY even be engineered. We have been conned easier then this before. The only effective solution is global non-compliance.
I like Ron Paul. But surely he realises that any moneyed system is going to be playing into the hands of the people who have corned the global money markets. Yes he never mentions it. The problem is not just socialism and the solution is not more money for the people.

that's how i see it this is how i see the game is. politicians are businessmen paid to protect the government, and made to keep people to have faith in government. the government is there to create laws for the capitalists , so that they can make their profits off the exploitation of labor. so in other words. fuck the government. we don't need leaders. we can lead ourselves without them. and fuck their profit making game. global anarchy!

Ron Paul is a true American Patriot. I just came back from D.C. and looked at the washington, jefferson, lincoln monuments etc... Dr. Paul should have a monument there. He is the one and only person who stands up against hundreds of thousands of people who want to bring this country down. He is my hero, he is an american patriot. He stands for the rights of every man, white, black, orange, purple, yellow, green. What a man, what a warrior. Thank you Dr. Paul.
