why is streaming important? if anything it makes you more vulnerable as a player. your flaws are open for public observation, and hence your enemy's use. don't stream your goddamn practices and team builds please.
also i think solomid needs some marketing help, you have this great resource and story going on here and its not being branded properly. these vlogs make me feel like you are in jail!
Chaox, I see a lot of similarities between you and me. I think the best way to get rid of your "nervousness" is to practice non stop until your body forces you to sleep. If you're gonna play LoL for a living, just do whatever it takes not only to win but to be the BEST player in the world. I was just thinking you could make a custom game where you go 1 v 2 against two good players in lane, and see if you can take their tower first.
If you want to be the best you can be at LoL or anything else, here is my advice. Try to maintain some balance in your life. Eat as many good meals as you can and exercise regularly. Try to maintain some semblance of proper sleeping. To maximize your mental output, you need to take care of your body. Set goals for yourself and your team, offer open critiquing amongst your team and work hard to remedy and weaknesses you find. Lastly, sometimes the best improvements come while not playing. GL.
@p0ck3tp3ar best improvements come while not playing? i find this might not be true...? while there are people playing 12 + hours a day nonstop practicing.
@ImperviouslyGaming Allow me to elaborate. My previous comment was about to exceed the character limit so I had to cut it short. I play online poker for a living. Throughout my 8 year career I have played light amounts, like 2 hours per day and I have also played heavy amount, like 8+ per day and some days I even played for 20 hours. Overall, I spent a ton of time perfecting my skills. Simply playing as much as possible is not simply the best solution. Writing, conceptualizing and discussing...
@ImperviouslyGaming are very important principles as well. At my peak earnings I spent between 1 and 3 hours alone each day simply thinking about poker and making plans for the next day. I always came into each session knowing precisely what I wanted to work on and a plan to do it well. LoL is similar to poker in that way. Sure, you can play 12+ hours per day and there is nothing wrong with that. But with so many champions, items, combinations and so on, the game is complex enough that studying
@ImperviouslyGaming the game is incredibly important as well. In my opinion, someone that studies for 3 hours and plays for 9 hours per day will be better in the long run than someone who plays 12+ hours per day. Not to mention that kind of playing is very unhealthy and completely eliminates any possibility of living a balanced life. At that point, the value of your life is almost solely represented by your results in game. Tons of gamers do this and I don't think it's the best route to success
@ImperviouslyGaming I'm sure some of them do work out for an hour a day, but it's probably less than 1%. Most of them I've seen are young guys who are already over-weight or will be once their metabolism slows down over the next few years. Not to mention they are undoubtedly eating 100% crap. Not like I don't enjoy eating unhealthy food, but when that's all you're eating it's not good.
@p0ck3tp3ar Also, in one of the videos on this channel one of the guys said they practice for about 8 years per day. Not sure if that means as a team or if that includes solo play though. I would guess they play 8 hours as a team and most of them play at least 2 more hours beyond that. It would be interesting to hear a break down of their routine.
@p0ck3tp3ar i was just talking about pros and people in gaming houses, like ppl in EG for SC2, (not epik gaming, talkin about evil genius) They all work out together and they play pretty much all day. but no doubt normal people that game and stuff yeah they pretty much fall in the list of what your talkin about
@ImperviouslyGaming Gotcha :) It's an interesting topic to me because I wanted to be a top level gamer too, but poker was extremely time consuming also so I could only try for one or the other. So I went with the money but part of me always wonders if I have what it takes, but I will probably never have that kind of time to devote to gaming. Right now I play between 2 and 7 hours per day, averaging around 4. How about you?
Day9 has professionally played starcraft for years before really acquiring his skill for commentating so I don't be too hard on yourself if it's not the same.(I believe he even has a school degree that is in Interactive Media) One thing I notice when you have previously commentated is you point out when you see something interesting, but sometimes don't fully explain how that's different or unique to the situation. Keep up the good work dude.
You bro, do your thing, Don't be too hard on yourself (I know that a random dude saying this on a Youtube comment doesn't mean much, but maybe it'll help a little) don't forget to have fun every once in a while, keeps you alive.
Also, I've been watching your dailys and they are great! Thanks for sharing your knowledge o/
you guys need to stop getting drunk everynight and when you guys play solo que stop blaming everyone and take some self acountability its the most annoying thing when you all cry about other people when you make mistakes also
Honestly don't try to compare yourself to day9, he is very popular because he can sit there and talk and keep you entertained, no offense, but you, right now, can not. Sorry.

@tsiferstube no they picked 8 teams to be singed up for the qualifiers but they have to fight 15 other teams for 4 spots in the actual tourney.
