Its not just about spending half of the problem is that the elite are paying the lowest tax rates in history. Multi-Billion dollar company paying 0 in taxes and receiving billions in subsidies, we cut subsides to solar energy and still give billions to big oil. The problem is are that are government is no longer a democracy we have morphed in to a plutocracy
lkjkkjaf-- you bet I am stupid. I don't think we need jobs in this country and I don't think we need a money economy. I am a post-scarcity anarchist to the bone. But regardless of that fact, I am really angry at how we keep borrowing money that our children have to pay back when they had no say in it. You have no right living off the backs of future generations. Pay as you go and shut the F up.
You have to spend money to create jobs. This is equally true for governments as it is for corporations. Corporations are NOT hiring and government is cutting spending. So, down go the jobs numbers. Down, down they go.
If you think corps will hire with tax cuts, name one that has said as much. Name. one. Citations necessary.
Tax cuts were substantially higher for corporations under Clinton and the economy grew on average 4%!! Then Bush created tax cuts and look what that did...nothing!!!
But I bet you a million bucks that government will continue to sell you this outdated concept.
FACT: We are wargaming this scenario right now. Total breakdown of public services i.e. fire and police. A national power grid collapse (rolling East to West). Huge food and water distribution issues via supermarkets and even PW facilities. Massed riots in major population centers and internal insurrection. Never in the history of the U.S. Military have we done anything (training wise) like this. We were told that it's just a matter of time. Not if but when.
Great video, but we all know nothing is going to change without armed revolution, including the political elitists. That's why they want to take our money, our guns & our freedom...
Two things people should realize. First, raising the debt ceiling is bailing out banks again. There are only so many necessary jobs you can cut in government. The people who are really working are the people that will continue to hold their jobs because they are essential to the tasks of government.. The people who are just feeding off of a dysfunctional system will have to be cut off. Secondly, the financial obesity of America's ruling elite is a slap in the face to the middle class.
@susansayler you are really quite stupid when it comes to money....... the government's budget is not like a person ..... the government should be adding more government jobs ..... go read History.... look at the NEW DEAL which was passed when Franklin D. Roosevelt was president during the great depression
@lkjkkjaf Go read history, the NEW DEAL did not get us out of the depression, selling things to the feuding European nations did and eventually entering World War II, that is what ended the Great Depression, not some federal work programs which in reality had very little to no impact.
@pieguy720 i know you posted this 5 months ago but the WW2 bump in the economy was because of government spending. you can read a good piece on it at i n d ep e nd e n t.org if you feel.
Creators of this video: Major tax cuts have been in place for a decade and we keep losing jobs. Isn't "job killing tax cuts" more appropriate given the FACTS?
Tax cuts are like shopping with coupons: you only hold onto the money you have. If you save $3.85 with coupons at the grocery store are you now inspired to create a job by hiring someone to mow your lawn? Or are you going to pocket that money? If you said yes to #2 then that might explain why the tax cuts create NO JOBS.
@Matryx Actually yes I might hire someone to mow my lawn or I may buy another product from another producer who providing jobs and buying products to keep his company alive.
Let the economy hit bottom. It is the republicans who will suffer, the democrats are already at the bottom Let the Bankers take a fall. It isn't going to hurt us, it is going to hurt them. We will still go to work and stores will still be open. Look at Beligium, over 300 days without a government and they are doing fine.
DO NOT RAISE THE DEBT CEILING TO FEED THE RICH ELITE. LET IT FALL.
@susansayler The country goes bankrupt, the elites have a lot more to lose than we do. I am all for that. I have already been down that road of losing 45 pounds because I couldn't afford to eat. If the elite have to deal with anything other than the very best they are contemplating suicide. I am willing to call their bluff too.
Tax cuts DO NOT WORK!!!
When are people going to realize that? It is so fucking obvious!!!
