i tame this guy the night before they patched it, thinking that they would allow the users that tamed him to keep it. NOPE. you still had the pet, but he was stripped of his abilities and you could no longer feed him. It was cool while it lasted tho. I got about 1000 PSTs while i was in SW with him

I have kept Garwal, he may be useless ingame without abilities, etc, but he still looks imba and recently he grew to be a giant ingame. Not really sure how it happened, but he is summoned about twice the size of my night elf hunter atm.

I was lmao yesterday! I tamed the beast 2 days ago and was leveling it yesterday and some rly weird things started to go on.. Hp redused to 5-6k everytime it was getting buffed or dinging, no abilities or talents / pet bar whatsoever and then the most epic thing happened : i stable it to got another pet out and poof it just vanished.. wtf where is it? cool, its gone lmao!!

Blizzard just responded:

"The worgen should not technically belong to any of the pet families and was therefore removed. This means the pet no longer has access to pet talents or abilities. Whether or not similar circumstances with hunter pets in the past have occurred isn't really relevant. Given the nature of the creature that was tamed in this case, we feel it should not belong to any of the eligible pet families from which a hunter can choose his or her combat companion."

When I did that quest in wotlk beta I thought "hmh, mob that can only been seen through the quests, better think of that one when I get my hunter"

You do not need to do every quest in howling fjord to get the achievement done there is a small threshhold so basically you did not need to do this particular one.

Yeah I wasent doing it for the achievement. I was doing it to level to 80 asap..Blizz should not make this guy a phase mob. He should be able to be summoned or something so people that already did this quest not knowing about this bug can get a freind to summon him for you. and tame him.

Well as  wrote ont eh right side, you need to be on the las tpart of the chain. Jus tnotice the "eagle eye" buff I have. Without that you willntobe able to see him.

if u have done the quest then u cant do it again cause the quest gives u a buff called eagle eye and that buff is the only way u can even see him

The only thing that reverts him to wolf seems to be Arena according to the 20+ page thread on mmo-champion. Everything else seems to be working correctly.

they even dont fix the slime, hydra or the ghostwolf. it will be the same (to be lucky if u have tamed him by the right time)

It might be different due to the fact that this one is a humanoid. But yes, it would be nice to keep him. It is even fun to run around in Eyes of the beast with him :-)

I JUST TAMED HIM! Man, my heart was racing by the end!

There were 15 hunters, ally and horde alike, but we took turns and were all patient.

On a side note: Does he revert when I either dismiss, call pet, die, level up, battleground, go through portals, arena, or any other thing?

Not sure what you mean. I tamed him twice. first time at 1:00 and second time at 2:15, but I initially stopped frapsing right away and thought someone might claim, that it was not valid so I did it again :-)

not realyl sure what you are referring to as second health bar. I used "v" (default) to display enemy health bars. 52% or 7400 HP.

You can set it to percentages via think it's Combat from the Interface aprt of the menu, then can change it back after :)

The mob is phased out, just notice the "Eagle Eye" buff in the buff list. It is the only way that you can see him.

Either you dont have to wait and are on the quest, or you have finished the quest and CANNOT see, target, or sadly, tame him.
