In my mind, the Battle of Stalingrad was far worse. About 30,000-40,000 men died on both sides during D-Day and it lasted a day. At Stalingrad, 2,000,000 people died, and it lasted for over 2 years, so the suffering wasn't over quickly. Then there are the factors concerning the living conditions of the men. Films like enemy at the gates, made by a director in Hollywood wanting his money, do not portray the battle that well. After all, they are trying to entertain, not inform.
@Samseal16 That depends if you are couting the battle around Stalingrad, which i was, and, you are technically right, the battle itself lasted 7 and a 1/2 months. But if you include the retreat to stalingrad, it was around (just less) than 2 years, when the fighting afterwards is included.

If the video was about the aftermath of WW2 then your point would be valid and this all started out as me paying my respects to all the people that died during WW2 that Hitler (give or take) started. Plus if Hitler was successful in conquering Russia and Starlin was killed during WW2 who would have slaughtered more people?? I don't know the full facts of who killed how many but I do know Stalin lived and stayed in power a lot longer than Hitler.

@crackajacka87 I agree with respecting every soldier in the war on every side, but Allies has a large responsibility for provoking the war aswell as putting the situation in place where a man like Hitler could take power. Don't blame only the Germans or Hitler, it's more complicated then that.

@crackajacka87 There is really nobody to blame for the start of WW1, it could be the Russians, Austro-Hungarians, Germany or even Serbia depending how you look at it. When it comes to WW2 the country was in desperation due to the versaille treaty and similar treaties, that were posed upon germany when they were basicly just an escape goat for WW1. This enraged the german people to a point where they wanted to go to war with the people that had done this to them. Allies have large responsibility.
