  • why do we need chlorid dissolve in Water ??

  • @Afrolady I suppose so everything inside the bottle water dies, otherwise you might get green slushy liquid after a while, making the "lightblub" way less effective.

  • I will make this idea count in Assam,India. i am already working in this sector.

  • This is one of the greatest ides ive seen in a long time, I rekon they could be well suited for use in sheds in allotments as well, Will build one this weekend and give it a go for my Grandad to try out if hes willing to let me put a hole in the roof xP

  • Thats amazing!

  • matalas talaga ang utak ng mga pilipino kaya mabuhai pilipinas! Its More Fun in the PHILIPINES!!!!!

  • Great tutorial, not sure this we able to pull this off in the uk. Plunge in darkness for best part of half a year.

  • how can this be adapted for colder climates as in northern ontario, canada? any ideas greatly appreciated! love the idea of using it as a water heater!

  • Seems like you greatly increase the potential for a leaky roof.

  • @Joenut915 seems like you don't get the potential of this invention

  • @Joenut915 aren't you the pessimist?

  • good video..

  • now put a tube through each bottle interconnected and use the warm water as a hot water heater and you have a natural source of light and heat as well as warm water for washing dishes clothes and showers. Enlightened Dissengagement by sovereign humans.

  • I don't understand how this works. All it is is sunlight shining through the bottle right?

  • Great idea

  • hanya dengan botol aqua 1 ltr dan chlorin 10 ml chlorin jadi deh lampu 20watt..menakjubkan!

  • Good idea for now floods around in thailand some people should be okey by this

  • great idea...

  • kala ko magagamit to sa gabi di pla.

  • @CrimelabS The use of bottle light is use only for daytime. When it comes at night, you only use electrical bulbs.

  • I see this in the notes:

"1) Always scratch the sides of the bottle to create better grip to the sealant. The top part where the bottle meets the metal is the leak point in the build so use industrial strength sealant (epoxy or DOW Corning 791) on the top and bottom if possible."

  • ISANG LITRONG LIWANAG! =)

    ONE LITER OF LIGHT! =)

  • can asbestos sheet be used instead of metal sheet?

  • what abt the ngt time??? n hw to switch it off???

  • @varun260584 The rotation of the Earth takes care of that for you lol

  • Is there any way to remove the very distracting loud music from this video? We need to use it for training purposes, and I'm sure people enjoy the music but it doesn't work in a classroom setting with English/Spanish translation going on.

  • Thank you for posting! Is this the "final" version, with all instructions and details that we need to know? Where else to go for more info? We want to try this in Guatemala as soon as I get back. CatherineTodd2 at gmail

  • I also found out what they are calling "glue" in the video (looks like gray caulk you see in the video). It's called

Vulcaseal, which is only in the Philippines… the brand has evolved to become a common household item, used to seal cracks & gaps in roofing, plumbing/pipes, gutters, downspouts, sinks & P-traps. … SUPER VULCASEAL is a one-component sealant for use on and between all common household, automotive and construction materials. Use Industrial strength Silicone instead.

  • @CommentsSurvey vulcaseal is really sticky and is rubbery. when exposed to the sun it becomes hard like a rock. caulk or silicone sealant is good for preventing leaks but a stronger adhesive is recommended so the bottle wont slide off the flange.

  • @mnmc10 : Thanks for your responses!

    1. What is a recommended adhesive since vulcasea is only available in the Philipines?

    2. To save money, can we use a piece of flexible tubing with caulk instead of a pvc endcap?

  • Where do we get the "protective plastic tube" as shown covering the bottle cap in the video? It looks like another CAP, not a "tube." It's is blue and looks like some kind of hard plastic. What material is this protective cover for the bottle cap made of? What is this "protective cover" called? If we are using industrial strength silicone instead of the gray Vulcaseal sealant material, what color should we use? I imagine that transparent wouldn't protect from the sun's rays.

  • @CommentsSurvey its a pvc endcap. any endcap fitting for pipes will do.

  • At 3:12 we see a metal flange/collar sticking down around the bottle from inside the house. What is the purpose of this, and do we need to install it?

  • ..wow! amazing. will try it out ;)
