i love this movie, and i never really pictured them lik..."together"...but more as i see Lestat as kind of controlling and I felt sort of a brotherly love he had towards louis...lik real protective and condescending and frustrating at times, but still there.

i think this is the most confusing relationship in the whole book/movie. Really lestat only chose Louis cause he reminded him of Nicki. Lestat fought with Louis so much about his eating habits cause he didnt want what happened to Nicki to happen to Louis. Lestat really isnt the villian everyone makes him out to be.

I don't think they're lovers. (this is just my opinion, please don't make this a poor comment, just because you do not agree with me!) But I think in the 1800's (when Louis and Lestat meet) it's just the way men acted. And then, as time passed, because they were vampires and could not die, I always just thought they had a very special bond.

The book is so much better than the film. The book is beautiful and you can actually feel Louis' loneliness and pain, but in the film, you only get a snatch of it. And they convey Lestat's fate very poorly in the film as well...
