Thanks for the tip Jim this is my 2nd Panasonic. I got a newsletter form them or Amazon maybe about their new AA rugged camera coming out. It's supposed to be water resistant and all kind of good stuff.
Again Thanks for your great videos my wife is picking up some wool yarn for me right now after church!
Jim Thanks for that, I felt like I was taking a relaxing walk with you!
Very nice video! I'm a subscriber now you encourage me to try harder with my videos! I'm totally new to videos don't know how to edit them and stuff. What do you use to edit your videos?
@Huntinfool Thanks for the comment and watching. My video editor is CuberLink PowerDirector ver 8. I have a pretty old PC setup with 32 bit Windows XP so I can't make use of ver 9.
@Woodenarrows I'm lookin' into getting some new edit software not sure yet what I'm getting but my camera is a new Panasonic 14 MP Hybrid HD with a 24X zoom Leica lens.
@Huntinfool I used Windows Movie Maker before but it won't read the file formats of my newer cameras. I've been real happy with PowerDirector. If you go to the CyberLink website you can download a free 30 day Trail version. I may be picking up a Panasonic compact HD this fall. They have a AA battery model due around Oct-Nov
good shooting looks like fun soon i will be able to shoot go to my page and watch the only video on my page you will see why i cant shoot yet but i will say this its nerve damage also, take care and be safe
@wawhiker It seems to be holding up with the heavier weight. I did drop back to 45# this past 3 weeks or so. I’ve been shooting 40# the past year, which was plenty comfortable. The 50# bow, although shootable, is still too much for long periods of shooting. There is a balance point of between overstressing the nerves and causing damage again or being ok and letting the nerves continue to regenerate. Think of doing 45-50# one arm pullups with a dumbbell :-)
Nice vid, good music to go along with a quiet walk in the woods. Looks nice in FL, here in NM it has warmed up and here come the winds! Ah well, it is spring afterall.
Look out for the big mean Raccoon ;o) He looked hungry! Nice shootin' as always Mr. Hood ;o) Looked like a nice day there. We have finally hit a high of +8C...hehe! Spring is here...kind of ;o)
@Ggreenvideos I think that Raccoon might be the one that inhabits the big tree back by the wetlands. I've seen him in the tree several times but he usually sleeping during the day. Was surprised to see him out and about.
@mindracer1 Ya know... finding the right audio backdrop and fitting it together is a big challenge to some of these videos. Thanks for the compliment and feedback
@steintanz Thanks Tim. Yes I'm luicky, could be farther away in which case I would not get to use it nearly as much. Some days I hardy loose an arrow and just walk the woods and watch the wildlife.
Nice vid ...Do you also shoot off the hand ...I have a recurve with no arrow rest ...Wondering if you can give me any pointers ...Would be very appreciated .
@brutallindigo I shot off the hand when I was a younger. Your fletching should have a nice smooth leading edge and a drop of glue to ease it over. Also, be sure to check wood or carbon arrows any time they take a hard hit or slap a tree. I have a nice scar down my left index finger where a split wood arrow buried itself in my bow hand. I would not hesitate to shoot off the hand again, just check your arrows when anything unusual happens. I don't but, some guys use a glove on their bowhand.
@Woodenarrows Thank-you Sir ....Good info I already did scrape my hand with the quill of the feather ...so your advise is very sound ...I think I might put a small arrow rest using a golf tee so that way at least I will shoot more consistently ..Thanks again !
@ez2curanut I used the Canon SX130 which produced 1280x720 HD MOV files, then rendered the video to 720x480, 2000 Kbps WMV format. Ending file size for 5:50 video is 96 MB. You think it's OK or too fuzzy?
@Woodenarrows it looks good Jim. I must have seen it last night RIGHT after you posted it up; it was looking really grainy/pixellated. It came out good (for being only 96MB) now that YT is done rendering :)
@ez2curanut BTW, that Canon SX130 does seem to have a hard time maintaining focus on moving shots. That's my one big complaint with that camera. I can accept the short battery life but the wandering focus drives me nuts! There is a way to "lock" the focus but I never think to try it out. Maybe next week I'll do that.
@ez2curanut Yes, I’ll try locking the focus for next week’s videos. No microphone input on the SX130, just the onboard built-in but there are two of them so it is stereo. The sound pickup seems to be pretty good.

Again the soundtrack was the perfect choice for this video. Not sure I liked you shooting at me like that. But you are a good shot!

Looks like a good day! I think that being relaxed is important for good shooting, so the location makes a difference.

This was wonderful to watch and listen to, almost like a movie. Love your choice of music. It just added to the video rather than distract from it.

Beautiful and peaceful. The music fits the video perfectly. Thanks for sharing.

@Woodenarrows Lock it in definitely... doesn't hurt..especially if it wanders. Is this the camera that has a mic input jack?
