Wing Chun becomes very limited when you put on gloves, thats why i dont compete, in jeet kune do we have hand range were Western Boxing is taught, trapping range can be used but gloves take away the controlling of the hands, which wing chun specializes in, BARE KNUCLES NIGGA, thats what imma bout

This video also doesn't state the weight advantage Birchler had in this fight, nor does it state that Grados completely turned his back on Obasi, who had been a loyal student for years.
Funniest part is he didn't even use wing chun in that fight at all. He dropped his hands and the guy took him down. He tried to sprawl, which is an mma takedown defense, but still got taken down. A wing chun takedown defense would have been more like stepping in with a knee to the face or body.
@jstnfshr its true that no wing chun techs were used in that fight so we cant say much about wing chun, but if that knee doesnt knock out your opponent youll be taken to the ground, then youd still need your grappling skills.
