  • good nu metal times \,,/,

  • Only 192,124 views?

  • So what all did Fred Durst really do?

  • @LPSwimmer2011 well, if you werent blind OR deaf...youd be able to 1. SEE that he sings in the chorus and 2. HEAR that he sings in the chorus =D

  • @SHREDMetallicA4life I'm niether blind nor deaf, and I can SEE his lips moving in the chorus...but he's definitely not audible.

So, once again, my question stands.

  • @LPSwimmer2011 Well i have a shitty ass toshiba laptop that i can barely hear anything out of, im half deaf in one ear and i can STILL hear him.

    So, once again, i answer.

  • @SHREDMetallicA4life Are you sure you can hear him...or do you just imagine that you can hear him?

  • @LPSwimmer2011 well as schizophrenic as i am, i KNOW im not hearing one of my voices sing along to the chorus...so yah, i can hear him.

  • @SHREDMetallicA4life You've just confided with me that you've got a shitty computer, you're deaf in one ear, and you have schizophrenia. Where are you going with this argument? Is all of this personal information worth trying to mock me?

  • @LPSwimmer2011 lmfao you know to be quite honest i have NO clue where i was going with this once i posted...i think i was just trying to point out that he is indeed singing in the chorus. As for mocking you, i wasnt. or at least i dont think i was...

  • @SHREDMetallicA4life Yeah, oh well. Let's just enjoy the music.

  • @LPSwimmer2011 Don't think they are trying to mock you lad. If they were they would probably say that you are a douche bag for having a name like SHREDMetallicA

  • @Docsa2008 Come on, now. We just got done with this, don't provoke him.

  • @Docsa2008 tell how im a douche bag for having a name like SHREDMetallicA? I shred and i enjoy metallica, and i enjoy shredding metallica. theyre my favorite band. How in any way shape or form does that make me a douche bag?

  • @LPSwimmer2011 agreed. lets just enjoy the music

  • I love this song..I love this band :)

  • i want a family values tour

  • 173,383 views 5,999,826,617 people still missing out :O haha

  • The fact Aaron completely made the ending up as he went along during this blows me away everytime. And Fred for going up there with him because he was so nervous and scared, what a champ.

  • best duet ever

  • one of the best songs by one of the best bands ever. my personal opinion.this song reminds me of my daughter and how much of her life i missed out on because of my own ignorance and back and forth to jail and it just kicks me in the heart.

  • 1999 god damn im old

  • great song specially if you in one of them moods for a song like this

  • 7 people are obviously Justin Beiber fans

  • One of the best songs god gave us

  • @bradmecca021 I'm pretty sure Aaron Lewis gave us this song... I didn't see God listed in the credits

  • @prcheco right

  • just for you.... only to day!!!

  • Some people give Durst shit for being up there with Lewis but he was only up there because he was asked to. Lewis was so shit scared of going up on his own and asked Durst to join him. Hence why you can see Durst looking at him sometimes.

Great song. Good old school tune.

  • #1 REAL SONG!!!!!

  • Pure Artist.

  • What a wiener.

  • @DillingerSatchel this is one of the songs in Wierd Al's Angry White Boy Polka, so i wanted to check out the original. that's all

  • @busyak you are listening to weird al and tryn to be a music critic? wheres your c.d.??????

  • @way2easy2love i actually really, REALLY don't like weird al, but someone sent me the angry white boy polka and it's pokes really good fun at all this. i've been critiquing this kind of music for as long as i could remember

  • @busyak my music range is wide on one cd i may have eminem then it might be grateful dead then garth brooks remember music is in the ear of the listener amazing grace is very simple yet a very powerful song to each their own you , like me we are all individuals and we are diffrent thats why the world will never be a boreing place.....

  • @DillingerSatchel man and the music

  • i thumbs up this song

  • @DillingerSatchel i hate to get into this argument because i know i'm gonna get trolled here, but i can't help but disagree. good music requires originality and creativity, both in instrumentation and lyrics. i agree with your sentiment about the fact that instrumentation means nothing - if a song is good, it's good, be it acoustic or on a 70 track recording,

but this isn't a good song. it's in minor, so people get sentimental, but that's not enough

  • 556 likes, 5 dislikes?? how the hell could you dislike this, silly haters lol

  • @tonyf5387 haters will be haters

  • he sings like heaven...

  • this is brilliant.....I have shiver running straight down my spine

  • Pure talent with a passion that everyone can feel, and see. Probably the best live performance ever! I'm glad someone has locked this moment forever in time. it represents something passionate and real. Aaron Lewis is truly a living legend!

  • love this song! :') <3

  • who the fuck is fred furst

  • @7WonkaBarz7 the lead singer of limp biskit.... everyone knows that :/

  • @7WonkaBarz7

Lol. It's Durst, not "Furst". The frontman for Limp Bizkit and the man who made nu-metal into a genre for god's sake! And you're on the internet. you could've just googled him.. :P

  • Fred starts out saying "Biloxi" is where this song was debuted at (Family Values Tour 99) and if any of you have ever been to a concert all artists shout out to the people that paid to see the gig.

  • I actually think Fred's "shoutout" was ok-ish, it didn't compliment the song nor did it detract from the feel and lyrics of the song.

That's the great thing about live performances, the unexpected happens.

  • if im not mistakin i think they did this shit in mississippi at the gulfcoast collisium-may have spelled that wrong- maybe not this version but im sure ive seen this live.....

  • what a song! good all the way through my favourite version

  • the shout out ruined the song, people who say otherwise must have a wigger fetish.

  • @crackfiend888 I honestly don't pay any attention to it. I'm too busy listening to Aaron pour out his heart and emotion to pay attention to what the backup vocalist is doing.

  • @788rad im with you there brah, but the shout out just ruins the mood.

  • @crackfiend888 you must have a crack addiction then. ok, the shout out wasnt the greatest idea, but it doesnt change the fact that this song was sung beautifully. and i dont normally listen to music like this. i'm normally listening to death metal.

  • @mastereddeath the song is lovely, durst is a wang.

  • @crackfiend888 ...yeah. i cant argue with that.

  • @crackfiend888 go smoke crack

  • @crackfiend888 coming from someone called crackfiend? lmao joker.

  • 3:40 on = goosebumps

  • never seen anyone else giving life to a song as staind does

  • reminds me of a hoe whos got my little boy thumbs up if your gf turn ugly on you.

  • ahh i hate being single lol

  • OMG! i love this song.... love staind and love durst!!!! (and limp ofcouse)

  • aaron lewis is the best fred durst fucked it up

  • 3:42 is the best part

  • Two sorry, fat-ass mofos whining into their mics.... pathetic.

  • Overrated performance. Nuff' said... and if it was good, Fred Durst fucked it all up anyway.

  • Man this shit still puts a tear in my eye \m/

  • ha i say fuck your opinion its about the music and its survival of the fittest !

  • didnt know fred durst worked in a bank called limp bizkit...

  • this is one of these we can call best ever...

  • One more time...why would you want Fred Durst with you on stage?

  • @mtully623 Fred Durst is the only reason he went on stage. the final verse is all improv because that song wasnt finished but fred said it was awsome and needed to be played. I personally agree with him

  • lol instead of complaining people are going on about how people complain all the time... the irony :')

    the song is incredible.

  • personally this song would be wank without vocal master fred durst at the helm

  • You're all complaining about Fred Durst but do you really think Staind would let Fred Durst on if they had a problem with him dong a shoutout? and don't try the excuse that they didn't know because Staind knew Fred Durst well enough.

  • Korn Limp Bizkit and Staind are the best Nu Metal bands.

  • and a lie here in bed all alone...

    :):(

  • i think the 'stupid shout out' adds to this song... it shows how much more real Aaron Lewis is. i've thought that since this video was on MTV haha

  • dis is my fav song 4 sure

  • we are all guilty of being who everyone ,does not want us to be , so what do we do about it

  • @rockjam 1 0 1 swearing is always necessary.

  • aaron is a great lyricist when it comes to love and pain songs...he's so underrated

  • I listen to this song evry day, I practically have forgot that shout out is there

  • thats as emotional as ur gonna see fred durst

  • classic

  • its reminds me of a girl i used to like and i got to know her and she turn ugly really quick

  • People seem to forget that Arron said he wasn't going to do the song becasue he was nerves so fred agreed too accompany him on stage. So don't hate fred did what a good artist is suppose to do he support another artist (and friend )when they almost lost the nereve to perform. So big up to fred becasue without that suport we might not have such a great version of this song

  • one of the greatest

  • I honestly don't see what the point of having Fred Durst there was.

He could have at least sung some harmonies or something. Durst not being there would have made no difference to the quality of the performance.

  • i love this song

  • fred is a nobody now.fuck fred durst bls rulz

  • best version!!!

  • when i heard this song i went right out and got the family values 99 tour album so i could listen to it again. one of my all time favorite songs :)

  • @MrJayrock620 me to man, gahh, that was so long ago, that album was bad ass, except for the redman method man or w/e songs

  • 2 people are fucking stupid and do not have a say in anything in life .....this is one of the best performances ever

  • ohhhhhhhhh yeaahhhhhhh

  • stained fred durst what a tune

  • love this video and this version of the song. i didn't understand it when i was a kid but i love this song now!!!

  • I always feel better after that song! Aaron Lewis has a voice that calms my mind! The emotion he feels is always felt in his voice! I think this is the best way I heard this song sung! They totally captivated the audience and the viewers who like me had to watch that on T.V. instead of being there!

  • this fucking song gives me chils even 11 yrs later aaron lewis pours his heart into this song and it shows so powerful great job aaron

  • this is it!!!!!!

  • einfach nur der Oberhammer dieser song...walk tha line

  • wow Fred was the swearing necessary

  • In a interview Aaron admitted to flipping off the crowd his whole set. Fred Durst came in and interrupted this Aaron did not know. Watch his middle finger and facial expressions. He has his bars perfect. Yet his middle finger sticks out on every chord that is not open.

  • @mark1760ia

I re-watched after reading this; I don't think I would call that a flip off even if that was his intention. I expect a flip off should have the finger extended straight.

Thanx for the info though, I never would have picked it.

  • It's been a while (-.-) since i heard this song. But I feel it everytime I listen to it! Aaron Lewis & Durst are just amazing.

And to all the people who whine about Fred, Fuck Y'all!

  • sumhw wit fred doin dat shout out the song feels more serious

  • killer song

  • @AOTN100

you r so fuckin in right man!

you guys should enjoy the music

its not important if theres fred durst in the background!

    LP = Love

  • fred's music is great! but in reality it seems as though his bark is bigger than his bite. in other words he's probably the biggest fuckin pussy.

  • Let me clarify, for instance, Greig Nori sung backup for Sum 41's single Motivation, he didn't get ft. even tho his backup was more discernable then Fred's on this

  • I guess Fred Durst is a bigger name.

  • Why does Fred get a ft. for this? you can't even hear him, and basically anyone on the planet could've done that, also he says stupid shit halfway thru that made half the world cringe, common dude, I like Limp Bizkit, but your as white as white gets man

  • i fucking love this song since i was 12!amazing!!!

  • i wish i was there

  • could possably be the best all around song

  • I think that no one could ever make such a great thing like this one

  • great song

love limp bizkit and fred durst is really good so lets just forget about that half a second where he shouted somthin stupid and just enjoy an awesome piece of music

  • @FoXdEc96 If we ignore that clear lack of common sense out favorite singer has im sure we will feel better

  • @FoXdEc96 Lol Fred totally screwd Staind over so I say fuck him

  • still best song ever tho

  • fred killed it when he said the is the real mother f****** s****** youll u dont say tht in a song like this who agrees???

  • yeah really love that fred Furst fella!

he kicks ass isnt he in limb lizkit

  • great song... those guys are awsome

and just because fred did a "shout out" doesn't mean he ruined the song... so just chill and listen to the music

  • @AOTN100 yeah no shit FRED found Stained Arron and told him if he got off HEROIN he would sign them thats why FRED is there.. And Aaron quit Heroin and Fred signed them

  • @AOTN100 It was the fact that we had to hear Fred's voice at all that, I wouldn't say ruined, but at least put a slight tarnish on the song. Would be awesome if if there was a mix of this song that included audio captured only from Aaron's mic that night.

  • Are you sur Limp bizkit is a bank and not a band ^^

  • luv dis song... the best parts at 3:42

  • great song!

  • Fuck yeah!

  • Family Values tour that year was amazing! And durst didn't ruin it for anyone who has been to a any concert ever would know they talk to the audience it's called stage presence...

  • this song makes me feel funny,, in a good way

  • Durst, not every song needs a shout out, Shut up, please.

  • There is a reason why Fred Durst does as he does..

ITS PLANED you morron! Staind's manager have set them together and they have agreed that Fred Durst sings as Fred Durst. because if they had picked an artist like Sting, and sting would have sung like Sting... But they didnt pick Sting. but Fred Durst... Its the whole idea by picking Fred Durst... -.-.-

  • Hey, chill. I like Limp Bizkit. It's just when you interrupt a tender moment with a stupid shout out, it defeats the purpose of a calming song.

  • "this is the real motherfucking deal ya'll" .. "i'm feeling those lighters"

    ...:S way to ruin it..

  • AMAZIN

  • this song is awsome love it :)
