@0oOMNIo0 Eating meat is only considered bad by some branches of Sikhism Not all..... Sikhism does have different sects but we try not to really emphasize.. It's approach is similar to that of the Roman Catholic Church many people don't know but they are in Communion with many other types of catholic "Greek Orthodox" for example, they all consider themselves "Catholics" but have small differences in ideology, the foundation is pretty much intact not like Christianity vs Catholicism

@Kapojos Actually the emphasis is b/c we shouldn't run from our beliefs so we should be recognizable by one and all, in what we believe and stand for.. we used to not emphasize it but then 2 of our gurus got beaten, tortured, and executed.. and people just stood around as it happened, now those true to the cause who wear the 5Ks can not hide.Iit is a uniform more than anything else. @AK47infidel it is written in the bhagavad gita and also the bible says in the first chapters that god said that vegetables should be our food. eating meat is a sign of agression, it is not very nice to kill an animal and eat it. most people dont need to eat meat, most people can live on vegetables, so why eat meat?
