I loved the way the Elven archers just swiveled in mid-draw towards the causeway, and let loose the arrows so casually. It's like they weren't interrupted at all by Aragorn's command. :D Gotta give it to the actors, even the extras.

@Midironica But as a Total War player, you know that basically any force can be defeated by blocking an advance through a single gap in a castle wall. I fought off an army of 2000 Byzantine troops at Iraklion (including Varangian Guard) as the Venetians with 2 units of Italian Spearmen, 1 unit of Venetian Archers, 1 unit of Men at Arms, and a General's Bodyguard. I let them advance slightly through the gap and then charged and surrounded the blob.

@Midironica Orcs were carrying pikes and swords as well, so you cannot just attack them from range or you'll be the one to get charged; fleeing makes no sense as well. So, blocking their deployment inside the walls, and as consequence preventing them from taking advantage from their superior number, Aragorn did the best move he could. The alternative was to remain inside the fortress and get hunted like rats.
