@DANWOODHOUSE I checked on IMDB and it does say that he did the music for the 70's series. I know that's not guaranteed to be true so, I'm not sure. There was good incidental music played during some of the pranks. I mixed the theme tune with some of this other music for the Arthur Atkins Tribute I made.
@coecludd Tis true - Jonathan Routh in later years became an artist specializing in the Mona Lisa in various different poses, some of the music from the series also contains references to the Mona Lisa, so it is more than likely he something to do with the music

I appreciate that - but there's still a decency in the generation of men who had dads and uncles and grandads with the wit and umour displayed here - it is still about in lots of ways.

I know Peter Dulay and Jonathan Routh are sadly no longer with us.
But does anyone know anything about Arthur Atkins? I loved his dead-pan expressions during his stunts.
I'd watch all the 70's series over and over on well-worn ex rental VHS as a kid in the 80's and still love it to this day.

@superbracey My uncle,Arthur Atkins, sadly,died on thursday 29th July-he had a short illness, and died peacefully.
His funeral was on 6th August, and there were lots of friends and family there.
Rest in peace,Uncle Arf.
