Ευ γε Έλμα!Πιθανότατα ο άριστος των Ελλήνων ζωγράφων.Κατ΄εμέ,έτι καλύτερος του Ιακωβιδου,όστις,ναι μεν είναι τεχνικώς τελειότερος του Γύζη,αλλά ουδέ καν προσεγγιζει την λεπταισθησία αυτού.Η λεπτότης της γυζείου γραμμης είναι μοναδική,και σαφώς δηλοί την απαράμιλλον ευαισθησίαν του καλλιτέχνου και το της της ελληνίδος ψυχής του ερωτόβλητον(βλέπε π.χ. τό έργον του "Η χαρά").Πλήθος αναφορών εις την τέχνη του Γύζη θα εύρης εις το σύγγραμα του Περικλέους Γιαννοπούλου "Η σύγχρονος ζωγραφική". Φιλιά!!!

really beautiful and inspiring. I wanted to mention heere that Gysis' art was noticed by Vachel Lindsay in his pioneer book on the art of the moving picture (1915). Lindsay said that the cinema had to work like Gysis' painting as 'photoplay of painintig-in-motion'. extremely interesting observation on Gysis' style.

I discovered Gyzis during my last visit to Greece in 2005. He reflects absolutely the "Greek soul". For personal reasons,I like especially the picture called "To kou-kou".

From the moment I saw his paintings for the first time Gyzis became my favourite painter ever. Congratulations and Thank you so much for this superb video. Na 'sai kala!!!
