from where i come, we call this a "cover" , not a "tutorial". the difference of both, is that.... in a cover, you play fast and don't expect anyone to catch your notes. in a tutorial, you start by saying how the guitar is tuned, and play note by note....the idea is teaching people.

its not 'supposed' to be played like anything. elliott tuned his guitar half a step down so he put a capo on the first frett to make EADGBE. this fella has his tuned at standard so what does it matter.

@whitestripebuzz actually, on live versions (like on oscar) his guitar is tuned as EADGBE, and he uses the capo to play it half a step higher.. But you're right about the record version, it's tuned EADGBE.
