I cannot believe that you had this island/beach all to yourself. I have been trying to plan a date to go here but I am scared to death of getting over there and find tourists swarming everywhere as we see on so many of these youtube videos of the beach. You were there in May of 2007 and nobody else was there?

im 18 years old and i have been talking to a girl there who lives in bangkok for a year, we became good friends,and we talk all the time, so she wants me to visit there, so i decided to visit for three weeks in august to bangkok and phuket and mayabay with her,how exspensive is it there? how many us dollars would i blow in a week with food , drinks clothes,travel i also want to buy her some gifts there,like shoes and clothes, i know her vary well where she works and her mother and sister too.

Im trying to plan a trip to go there right now. I want to plan a "The Beach" Tour, touch down in bangkok, stay at the on-on hotel like in the movie with daffy, go to the national part in north thailand where the waterfall jump scene was filmed, and then end by going to the phi phi le islands. Can you live there or get a job easily? Im american

u can live in thailand for £5($10) a day if u stay in hostels. I found a 5* hotel for £18($36) a night

No. Its one of the cheapest places on earth. You can live on that island he is filming on(in the beginning) for about $300 rent a month.
