I love music!! I cannot understand the words but I can listen to this all day. My day will come when I will be able to explore Africa and many places in the world.
@mandinka50 dioula. but bambara, malinke, mandig i think are regional dialects if im not mistaken. my friends from burkina faso, mali, ivory coast, guinea, gambia speak it and can tell where each one is from by the way they pronounce words. i cant distinguish the difference unless i hear malians say yes(awo) or ayi(no). im a yankee but my wife is from ivory coast. her parents are from mali so she can speak both dialects which she says is the diference in how new yorkers and texans speak.
please can someone tell me the meaning of this song please please...I listing to it everyday but i dnt know what she is saying.....love u soooo much Oumou..
Yeah, it's gonna have to be a Sunday task - there are a lot of words to type out! But yeah, this sister has got such a beautiful voice and the soundscapes on that album are superb.
