Sanskrit maybe similar to Slavic languages, however it is not Indo-Aryan. Slavic languages including Russian is a Balto-Slavic, which is part of Indo-European.

That is due to the fact that modern scientists are not willing to test Vedic claims for they deny the existence of consciousness by excluding it from the process of experimentation. If the claim involves the individual consciousness, they immediately back off. That is not science, that is closed-mindedness and exclusiveness. The word "Hindu" is not found Sanskrit literature. Although I live in USA, my ancestry is from Vrindaban and I follow the Vedic Philosophy. However I am not a "Hindu" and you may refer my beliefs as "Sanathan Dharm". If it is hard for you to pronounce I suggest "Sanskitism".

The fact that Vedic knowledge is non-existant elsewhere in the world is ample evidence that not only did no such 'invasion/migration' occur, but Vedic knowledge, Sanskrit, and all of the cultural elements associated are indigenous to Bharat; extending far beyond current day geographical Indian territories. PS i don't believe that theory with 100% conviction but it isn't impossible. Ive studied ancient cultures since i was a boy. I was fascinated with Greek myth. Then i studied many ancient cultures. If anything these ancient stories have their own lessons and are exciting and quite fanciful.

I am a proud hindu and I agree with all of this. Hinduism is very very old and it may not be possible to exactly judge how old it is.
It is the BEST religion to conduct human affairs and to live life. Hindus are most peaceful,happy and generally satisfied people.
Its sad to see that in past few centuries, even many people in India does not fully realize potential of hinduism, what it can bring to their life.

Mayan counting was base 20 instead of the now decimal. Mayan numbers are mix of Roman Numbers(symbol based) and Indian Numbers (position based). I saw a program by PBS nova - so check their website.
If you know Binary (Base 2), HexaDecimal(Base 16) then extend it to base 20 to get Mayan numbers.

OK here's your answer. Rats arn't gods. Hinduism doesn't tell us to worship rats. The discrimination against different castes are also not in the religion. Discrimination was something the people started. Its a social problem . Its not like the religion says "low castes shouldnt be near high castes". Brahmin means an ideal persons life. and dalit means a non ideal persons life.one's caste was always changeable like clothes according to his or her karma.But, mongols invaded india and changed the true meaning of it for dividing and ruling the ppl.
