  • What is shimmer?

  • Wow!, you're extremely talented(:

  • Thaks a lot for your videos. I want to do a face up with freckles...do you have any idea?. Did anyone ask you to do this?

  • WOW! Thank you for sharing all your tips! ;) It was so informative! You have a great talent!

  • What kind of brand of gouache are you using? Also, is it Artist Gouache, Student and Scholastic Gouache, or Acrylic Gouache?

  • wow, very nice,i would def buy a doll from you:)!!

  • These are lovely :) Out of curiosity, when you spray your sealant, what kind of mask do you use?

  • your my new idol!!! can i copy you?

  • what program do you use for edit the video?

  • Do you have any tips for people who want to do Boy faceups?

  • Do you cut out the eyelashes from the inside of the head? and what toll do you use for that??

  • The best tutorial face-up video! It makes me go and draw too harder!

Thank you!! Waiting for the next head :D

  • I have a question. I noticed you used one brand of watercolors when doing the eyelids and another one when you were drawing the creases of her eyes, does that help make the color more visible faster or it doesn't really matter which brand you use for different parts of her face?

    Sorry for the confusing question.

  • Ahh, I love your faceups ;u; If i had enough money, i'd definitely want a faceup from you. Though, I'm too poor to pay for one ;A;

  • What music did u use here?

  • i think fairyland should just approach you to do faceups for them hahaha, i bet you've boosted a lot of their sales! If i ever get a doll in larger size, i'll def consider this sculpt i know! Thanks so much Andreja for taking the time to record and edit and put up this vid, i know you must have a lot of faceup commissions going on, so thank you for sharing. ♥

  • I don't own an airbrush would pastels work just as well for the airbrushed steps? Also what sealant do you use? and why do you apply after every layer? Thanks!

  • Ah I just love watching these! I was wondering something. Since you can do all this make up on these dolls then how are your make up skills on humans? Just a thought. I would like to see another face up from you. Can't wait for another upload! Thanks for sharing :)

  • Ok this is amazing!

  • you have way to much time on your hands.............JOKE, i think your talent is really good...............well done coz i actually thought the thing was real when i skipped to the end

  • I believe the cute green thing is a retractable eraser with its edged cut slanted for precise work.

  • Ur amazing

  • What brand of eyelashes do you use? Can you use eyelashes intended for humans??

  • Ohhhh! Saw one of your faceup on Enaibi's Naïade ^^ So you most work with pastel, that's interesting!! I also work with aibrush but my mouth were not as gorgeous as yours, that's why xD Thank to share your tips, will try that tomorrow!

  • Very beautiful x x x what is the music being played if you don't mind me asking... It ties in perfectly with the face ups x x x and please carry on with these, there astonishingly beautiful x !!!

  • What do you do with the back of the lashes? I've noticed that you place them so that the back kind of sticks out. Do you clip them when the glue is dry?

Your faceups are amazing, by the way. I'm on a forum right now, and every time you post one of these videos, someone alerts us all. You're awesome. And your little notes are very helpful.

  • @ImJustWingingIt I dont do anything with the part that is sticking out inside the head. The eyelashes are soft so they will bend nicely around the eyes when you add them. As long as you glue them properly there shouldnt be any issues.

    Thank you :)

  • I love this video so much, thanks so much for sharing <3 Stop complaining about the music and enjoy the fact that an artist as talented as Andreja is doing this for us ;)

  • Your face-ups are mesmerising. How much of a plan do you have before you start?

  • This thing freaks me out!!!

  • @flowerfawn Well then, don't watch it. Simple as that.

  • You must be brilliant at putting on make up ;D

  • What program do you use to edit? :D

  • How do you remove mistakes you've accidentally made?

  • this vid was great! lovely to see your working progress

i personally was super excited to see a mnf chloe from do many angles :)

got my heart on one, and this vid made me fall for the sculpt even more!

    ausom!! thanks for posting ♥

  • its so pretty ! :D

but it's so creepy without the eyes T_T

  • omss! ur so pro at this , im jealous! , hahaha this is beautiful :)

  • you are great!! I love your make ups!!!

  • Oooo Andreja you kill me with your skills! You deserve 500million high-fives for being so talented, awesome, and super sweet! :3 Love the song by the way, I think it's really a perfect fit~

  • You are soooo talented! -respect- :)

  • How to you throw the pastell on your brush?

Do you provide pastelldust with a shape or tabble the brush to the pastells?

  • yay! what a pretty face up. You seem to put a lot of care and detail into you work, I'm amazed!

Also, the sealing counter is an awesome addition to the videos!

  • Perfect result, as always. Thanks again for taking the time to put these together and share with us. :)

  • Beautiful faceup :3 Can you tell me what you used to edit your video with? The stylish captions make everything all the more professional.

  • this was so fascinating <3

  • is that a barbie head?

  • @2wrinkleygirls : No, its a ball jointed doll head . . .

  • few questions:

what do you use as sealant? it doesn't appear to add any gloss or extra thickness to the head

do you brush color right off the pastel sticks, or do you shave it and dip your brush in the powder?

when you add lashes, do you trim the extra on the "inside" of the head, or can the eyes be placed without the ends getting in the way?

thanks for posting these, they're terribly fun to watch~!

  • I love your work........ So jealous.

  • Great video! I learnt a lot from your last video, especially regarding technique with the pencil. It really helped in my latest faceup. ^^

One question: you do the lower lashes and eyebrow hairs several times. Are you simply retracing previous lines, or adding more lines? Thanks.

  • First, I want to say that I met you a recently by the Flickr, and I am really fan of your Face-ups *-*

I've always been looking for videos on youtube, and yours is so complete and helped me a lot ... I want to congratulate you, does beautiful work and makes them so special *-*

Second, I wanted to ask what is the little green thing that you use to make small repairs? I do not know if I can ask this question, but it made me curious. > <"

Now as for music, it is really relaxing <3

  • I normally do sci-fi and fantasy minature painting, but this is just amazing! great work!

  • amazing! :o

    she looks like youuuuuuuu!

  • Amazing!

  • hey i really like your video and i did hear about SD dolls before in asia. i am wondering about wat kind of make up(paints) you use on them? i can tell u use airbrush, but wat kind of art pencil/pigments u use on them?

  • Thanks for the video, Andreja!! >w< I have one question that popped in my mind in the first video... how do you manage to make the eyelashes not interfere in the way you fit the eyes in the sockets? I mean, you don't glue them exactly in the roots, but a little backwards, so I was ondering if the eyes don't take them off, or force the lashes to other shape, or even don't fit in any way o.o If so, do you have any tips to avoid that? ^^

Thanks a lot in advance!!! ♥

  • @JustYuna Usually you just glue the backs of the lashes to the inside of the head once they've set the way you want them to. I've also heard of people trimming them once they've set, too ^_^

  • wow amazing

  • where do you buy your dolls?

  • nice make up doll btw song´s name pls and thxs ¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • ohhh MY GOD!

    BEAUTIFULLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!

  • i want to do something like this now

  • BEAUTIFULLLLLLLL!!! i like the song too! what is it?

  • What kind of brushes do you use and what brand? (sable, etc) Is one type of brush fiber more suitable than another for faceup work?

I love your work, you did my Migidoll Ryu for me. (gray eyebrows) It is nice to be able to see you work!

  • Hi Andreja! I have a few questions for you:

    1) What is that cute little green eraser you are using?

    2) Wouldn't an exacto-knife be dangerous on resin (scratching, particularly)?

    3) What happens to the back end of the lashes that stay inside the head? Looks like they would interfere with eyes, no?

Thanks, and excellent job with this video! <3

  • good job

  • What beautiful work you do! How long does it typically take you to do a face up? Also, what do you do with the eyelashes that hang into the face plate? Do you cut them down and with what? I just don't understand how eyes would fit in without pushing the lashes out.

  • Do your customers typically ask you for specific colours and etc, or are you usually the one to decide what the doll's makeup will be like? (is there an equal amount of both??) Just curious. :)

  • Wow! You are amazing!! I really love watching you do face-ups (and for the record, I think the song is PERFECT and I hope you keep it for all your face-up vids! It's relaxing and enjoyable to listen to!) and I hope you continue this series for a LONG time in the future! :) I'm so impressed by skilled face-up artists like you! I wouldn't have the patience for all the tiny details that add up to make an amazing face-up! I can't wait for the next video! :)

  • As someone who does there own faceups I am SO HAPPY to see you do this. I love watching you and it makes me know and understand that I have much more to learn and that makes me so happy! Thank you for doing this!

  • wow you're so patient, you give time in every single detail, it's amazing.

i can never be as patient at you. >___<

  • Your work is amazing. I love how expressive your faces are ^_^

  • All your faceups are beautiful.

Thanks for show how you make them.

I love your work, you are a big artist

  • I love the song :) But I was wondering (first of all, is this Jess, or another owner's Chloe?) I know you've done face ups for many other Chloes. But is it odd at all for you to feel the familiarity of a sculpt without it being your own doll?

  • @BiscuitDegaro aww thanks! This was a commissions so it was not my Jess ^^

I actually find it a good opportunity if I have to paint a sculpt that I own, because I can paint the eyebrows/eyelashes/ in a different way and if I like it very much I can change my own dolls too :)

  • Is that just a normal eraser she is using? o:

  • @thuthunguyen00 I also want to know if it's a regular eraser, too

  • Wow, another beautiful faceup! Thank you for including the sealant count, hehe. :) Your faceups are so gorgeous. >v< If you don't mind me asking another question, what kind of sharpener do you use? It's amazing how fine a point you get on those pencils. :o

  • thats cute

  • You did a BEAUTIFUL job! :D i just have one question..how big is a Minifees head? :)

  • Thank you so much again for recording these!

  • This is probably a really noobish question, but what do you mean when your sealing something?

  • @NotoriousWriter She uses a sealant spray, like Mr Super Clear, which is like a protective layer. It seals the pastels and paints so they don't rub away ^_^

  • I love your work! And now i want a MNF Chloe gaah D:

Also, is that green thingy a rubber eraser?

  • How long does one of these generally take?

  • Great video. Depressing song. xD

  • @ayang005 D= !!! It took me 5 hours to find that song. It sounded pretty neutral to me >_< But then again people always argue about music taste. I will try to find some other options, but it is not as easy or cheap since I need to buy a licence to get the rights to play it in the video.

  • @NicollesDreams Aww, I'm sorry. Didn't mean it that way. It's just how I viewed it. :) But your video is great overall.

  • @NicollesDreams Well, I just think you did it right. The song must be neutral and not interfere too much with the video. I just think it looks a lot like the songs they play on those "Home and Health" channels, for the tips and tricks shows. Which I like, because it gives a professional feeling to the video.

Once again, a great and instructive video!!

  • @NicollesDreams Don't worry about the song. It's not depressing in anyway Lol. That person clearly doesn't know what depressing song is XD Anyway, I've never seen anyone do this kind of stuffs. It's really awesome! You're awesome! <3

  • @ayang005 Personally I love it, its very relaxing. :)

  • @Maleficently lol, that's cool; well we all have different views to the word "relaxing". Yours and mine differs. :D

  • Woah.. that look kinda scary but awesome at the same time (x

  • Your work is amazing!

How do you seal your work on the face?

Have you ever done goth or zombie makeup?

  • Epic..you're amazing :D Keep up the awesome work ;3

  • you are so creative! Subbed <3

  • So beautiful!

  • I can't figure how to make the pastel stick to the brush and then go on the resin (dunno if I make sense derp), any tips?

  • @HoshiBerry You literally just dip a dry brush into the pastel dust :)

  • @HoshiBerry Usually (and I can't speak for Nicolle, but most faceup artist's I know, and the few I've done myself) you scrape a small amount of pastel "dust" off the pastel stick with a razor and apply that to the brush like you would say, blush make up, and then apply layers onto the doll. It can take several layers to make a large impact, which is one of the nice things about pastels, you can control how heavy or light the color is.

  • @Maleficently Well it's what I do but I must be doing something wrong because there is a few to no powder at all that goes on the head :/

  • @HoshiBerry You have to layer it up. As Nicolle has mentioned, she layers and layers and layers. You need to continuously build it up, and this does take more than half and hour to and hour.

  • Can you please make an Avatar Faceup?

  • @LOVEMUSICHATE she already did, check her flickr.
