  • you can get navigation now

  • ha. we got this car for 9,000 used

  • Just drove an '06 last night and came away very impressed overall. There was a bit of wind noise on the highway and some bobbing/wallowing over expansion joints, but for the most part it was quiet and had a nice ride IMO. I expected it to be flabbier than, say, a Camry, but in fact it was MUCH more composed and didn't feel as big as it is (I'm comparing to the 2002-06 Camry; I don't know the newer one). My only real hesitation is that the seats are high and feel more like an SUV's than a car's.

  • You need to check out the fifth gen 2012 Hyundai Azera...

  • To each his own. I love what Hyundai's doing and the direction they're heading in. They keep adding more and more while keeping their prices in check. I'd buy a hyundai in a heart beat. Time will tell and make believers out of doubters

  • The Avalon and Azeras exteriors are both bland and boring but I like The Azeras more. The interior of the Avalon is more richer than the Azera, but they are both good. Id go with the Azera because of the price. For all the money you'll pay for a fully loaded Avalon you might as well get a Lexus ES

  • What kind of a luxury car doesn't come with its own multimedia.or even a fucking NAVI system? WTF?

A 5 speed automatic?WTF? The worst BMW's have 7 speed automatics now, the best have 8. Thats 80's tech right there.

    V6 for a luxury car?WTF.

Get an infiniti if you want value with a budget.

    No thanks!

I will stick to looking at the BMW 5 series.

  • @slobhinav Dude, check out the newest fifth gen 2012 Hyundai Azera. Its superior to BMW and Mercedes.

  • @TerryFilming

Yeah....my friends dad has one. It may have more horsepower. But with a clunky 6 speed automatic and plastic almost everywhere. It is not that great.

0-60. I bet you the BMW will get there faster. In terms of handle......the suspension on all Hyundai's is horrible.

Just because a car is cheaper, doesn't mean it is better.

  • @slobhinav Nobody in their right mind is saying the the 2006-11 Azera competes with BMW, Infiniti, or Mercedes and you are being ridiculous for making that comparison.

This competes against large cars like the Toyota Avalon, Ford Five Hundred/Taurus, Chevy Impala, Nissan Maxima, and Chrysler 300/Dodge Charger. Based on that comparison, and especially in 2006, the Azera was quite a good car.

  • Noisy cabin??? Not mine. Still a nice informative review.

  • i've taken a 4 hour road trip in an azera and it was the most comfortable and quiet trip in my life

  • @LiLTBoyy115 im just one of the billions of people who just expect lots from large, reliable companies like hyundai..

  • @lexusES350h

I'm just one of billions of people who expects a car that doesn't accelarate by itself. Hyundai is a good ride for that.

  • Comment removed

  • weird that this guy found the azera to be noisy...i been inside one on the highway and i thought it was dead quite..

  • @xxxxmimi i think he was outside when it was running

  • @xxxxmimi same here ive been in the azera to and i been in ones from different year models and they were all quiet

  • I vehicle I'd buy over the more costly Avalon and similarly priced 2009 Taurus (but not the 2010 most likely).

The next Avalon better be darned good to hold up to the Azera, Genesis, and 2010 Taurus.

  • I agree. The current Avalon is odd and ugly looking. Toyota is going that route with most of their vehicles now for some very strange reason. People knock Hyundai for looking like other cars, but I'd rather have a good looking car that might resemble others than something uniquely ugly like many Toyotas now. Pontiac Aztec anyone?

  • Aside from the grille on the newest ones, I prefer its styling to the Hyundais. It's also even faster.

But the interior of the Hyundai is better and it's much more affordable without feeling like you spent that much less.

  • Haha, my opinion is the complete opposite of the Avalon versus Azera. I think the Azera is a much sexier and more prestigious looking car outside, but think the Avalon has a much richer interior.

  • The avalon and every other toyota suck dick

  • @76ersbbball

Thank you for your extremely biased and retarded opinion.

  • Thanks for you pussy ass comment. Foreign cars suck dick.

  • @76ersbbball

LMAO. You a redneck or just plain ignorant?

  • ahha i dont know how your calling redneck. I am the farthest thing from that. Your a tree huggin faggot who like pussy foreign hybrids

  • Have you ever owned a Foreign car or even driven one?

  • @76ersbbball Foreign cars are the only way to go man

  • Well fast forward to one year later and nope, the Avalon isn't any better than those mentioned competitors.

  • @2003SCT

    Wrong, but nice try.

  • So you are saying the Avalon is better than the new Hyundai Genesis? I don't think so...you have to get into the Lexus badge to upstage the Genesis. V8 power, RWD, amazing room and audio system etc. Sorry, but the Avalon is the definition of meh.

  • @2003SCT

And where did I say the Genesis was inferior to the Avalon? The Hyundai is wayyyyyyyyy better than the Avalon.

  • Well you said that I was wrong but that I had a nice try about saying that the New Taurus and Genesis are better than the Avalon. (and the Azera doesn't count because its not a current model). The Genesis outdoes the Avalon in all ways and the new Taurus, even though it isn't a competitor in many ways, is WAY cooler and better looking than the Avalon IMO. I prefer the new SHO and its sport chiseled "luxury" to the Avalon's Metamucil non chiseled luxury.

    Maybe we misunderstood each other.
