Then WCW decided to start this streak thing. sorry, but it has been so long ago, but i am sure the streak went to 40 or 50- wins. That was the gimic. So yes they could have changed the script, but it was during the heated WWF- WCW battle. both companies were doing whatever it took to get an edge. Eventually wcw started the NWO era.

The one being able to do a move or spot, and the other guy being able to "sell" the spot. goldberg wasnt able to hold back and let the other guy sell it.

Hart complained in his book about a jammed finger when he hit it against the rope, in his first wwe heavyweight title win with Flair. Somehow that was Flair's fault! the guy is a wimp and only canadien marks see this fella as a hero, if it wasnt for them he would be forgotten. So ofcourse Hart blames Goldberg for his career end even though no evidence supports it.
Hart complains quite abit about stiff wrestling. Goldberg didnt end his career, his 3 year contact wasnt renewed, he burned his bridges with WWE and he finally suffered a stroke 2 years later. Hart complains in his book that Flair's chops were too stiff, that they hurt!!!. Tell that to Kobashi against Sasake wherethey chopped each other for 7 minutes straight in a great 5 star match.

I don't like bret hart at all but you can see from how he handled goldberg that he's a clever wrestler. Although his 3 victories against Goldberg were neither fair or clear-cut, it just showed that to get the better of goldberg all you needed was a little brain-power.

The WWF was great wrestling! WWE went PG, WCW was where people went when they got tired of matches and just wanted to watch disqualifications and gang jumps. TNA is making all the same mistakes that WCW made so once again... its all going back to Vince McMahon.
TNA just like WCW use to be... is 80% drama and 20% wrestling. Seriously, the storylines that go with wrestling now are like Days of our lives. I'm waiting for Jerry Springer to Join TNA

@redfoxtrident : Trying? More like he probably already has stakes in it already. TNA can't beat WWE, there isn't any chance. The WWE is too established, has too many fans, and doesn't make major mistakes. All TNA can do it take a small share of WWE fans and hold on to them for as long as possible. But even those fans will still watch WWE.
Major point is, "You can't make the same mistakes over and over and expect different results. Its the WCW all over again & doomed to the same fate.

Only true if you're talking about the "headliners" of WCW. I always felt the best wrestling I've seen was of WCW's "second-tier" guys like the cruiserweights, the tag-team matches, the matches for the US Heavyweight title... These are what made me love WCW over WWF at the time.

@gorgeousaur nah, what made me love the wcw over the wwf was that you had all the elite wrestlers at once in a match. they would have rick flair, goldberg, sid viscious, nash and hall, bam bam bigelo, hulk hogan, brett hart, jeff jarrett all in on match. You can't get any more stupid than that. TNA thinks they need to out "show" WWE, really when all they need to do is out wrestle them. I wouldn't be surprised if they brought back the Ultimate Warrior again... or better yet... The Iron Sheik and involve hogans whole family.

Hart complained in his book about a jammed finger when he hit it against the rope, in his first wwe heavyweight title win with Flair. Somehow that was Flair's fault! the guy is a wimp and only canadien marks see this fella as a hero, if it wasnt for them he would be forgotten. So ofcourse Hart blames Goldberg for his career end even though no evidence supports it.

Hart complains quite abit about stiff wrestling. Goldberg didnt end his career, his 3 year contact wasnt renewed, he burned his bridges with WWE and he finally suffered a stroke 2 years later. Hart complains in his book that Flair's chops were too stiff, that they hurt!!!. Tell that to Kobashi against Sasake wherethey chopped each other for 7 minutes straight in a great 5 star match.
