they are really really underrated, but they're amazing, I'm not spamming, and I don't know them but I just think anyone who is into them should definitely go check them out, I can't stop listening to them!

  • @iluvwatermelons "Beautiful" by Snoop Dogg (ft. Pharrell).

  • @pdubzcrew. You rite bout that. But most upcoming producers are too afraid to step out da box. U c Timbaland? He keeps reinventing himself. I won't lie I bite too.

  • @blackkabnet

Haha fasho man, but I see where your coming from, people in hip hop that stay original will forever be legends.

  • Lol anybody else notice that guy looks like a chinese edward.

  • @Liqhtning If you're talking about Chad, he's Filipino. Not Chinese.

Does anybody know what kind of "casette tape thing" and "recording machine" Chad is talking about? Links would be helpful

  • @J4m3z1 its called an 8 track, they are not hard to find but they are definitely difficult to use, especially with standard DAW's eg FL Studio, Reason, etc, I am not sure they even support it, pm me if u need any advice or sounds cuz i make beats as well

  • These guys are musical gods. They inspire me to make beats lol They make music not just pleasing to listen to...but its like I'm having so much FUN when I listen to their beats...they make me wanna try it too. They influence!!! • 1:28 did he say Kid Cudi?

  • @fatboy226 What did he say?

  • the neptunes are so dope

  • they got a point..alot harder to play out what your hearing..not just the fact that you might think of somthing that you can only play if you were a proffesional but also because while your trying to find the sound on the keyboard..everytime you hit (or atleast i) the wrong key, your risking to remember what you made up in your head..and if you have a dream about a beat, make sure you get up and record it right away..i learned the hard way and forget this sick beat that i forgot when i woke.

  • Lessons from the wise!

  • neptunes 2 of the muthaf @#$ kin greatest!

  • @mmball8 I know what you mean bro but just go far it you might be really good at it. Im 16 to i rap but i want to produce shit now too

  • @mmball8 WHAT???? Are you serious?? Of course its not too late... you dont have to be elton john, you can be a pretty damn good piano player no matter what age you start at! If your thinking about being a producer then good for you considering your young age, ive only really gotten into it the past year and im 23!

  • @Fan4Atreyu same, newtown road here

  • there's all this equipment that emulate old things, if you dont even know what those old things you're emulating whats the purpose? True Shit.

  • @jneedham7890 You do if you read the manual, LOL! Or just Google it...but yes there were a lot of gems in this short video.

  • Annnnnnnnnnnd pausing at Chad Hugo's face :] mhm

  • these guys are genius

  • 10,000? He said it like that's a lil' bit of money. They forgetting we regular people and its not normal to have millions of dollars.

  • where can i find that song on the background? i know it's beautiful with snoop, but this version is real cool

  • lmao pharrell got that gary coleman disease!

  • @thegame52291 ever hear the saying,"Black don't crack"?

  • Damn you I want some Burger King too!

  • both beautiful and creative...i'd marry em both

  • I wish those were my roommates. That was some of the best advice I have ever heard.

Seeing Sounds, buy it, learn it!

  • I had the honor to meet Chad today at my work at Sports Authority. He came in and he was being a regular customer. I recognized him so I approached him and asked him if he was in relation to the Neptunes/N.E.R.D. He said yeah, and I introduced myself. I helped him with his purchase and got a chance to talk to him. He seems pretty chill. Glad I got to meet him since their music gave me alot of good memories.

  • what version of "beautiful" is that in the background, a demo/live session? Any info?

  • the neptunes are the best producers alive!

but if dilla were still alive then that would be a tough decision two different styles

  • i´m a producer. please check my beats on my channel and suscripe if u like it

  • @Gerraldinho you stuff is tight , are you using reason

  • @zaku2100 Fl studio, thanks for checking it out:)

  • what is the name of the song at the beginning?

  • @ThreeCrowns Snoop Dogg ft. Pharrell - Beautiful

  • these guys are successful because they aren't in it for the money. don't get me wrong, im sure pharrell enjoys driving his Ferrari Enzo, but him and chad were into music since highschool, before they had the $ and minions throwing themselves at them. STARRR TRAKKK haha.

  • - NEW 2010 release Pharrell "That Girl" REMIX, Check Out NEW REMIX

    for 2010 REMIX release............Leave feedback..thanks

  • What version of 'Beautiful' is playing in the beginning of the vid?

  • PINOYYY

  • nice arcadestick.

  • half pinoyz!!!!!!!!!

  • Check Me Out 14nRappen

  • thats what i do 8 tracks

  • huh I was surprised to hear that they have exact same approach as me. Started with Amiga, recording my tracks with a mic next to the TV speaker, then 'moved on' to playstation & music maker till I was crashing the damn thing, now PC sofware. Always move on to the next thing after you mastered the previous one, kudos to those guys that's a golden rule.

  • Yooooo what, what this is Realla checkout my new Hitz they are bangerz!!! I'm telling you ONE**

  • so many artists O their career to these 2.....

  • sure , they're legends

  • i wish i could be in the studio while they were making beats

  • shut the fuck up

  • get the fuck out of here you fuck

  • yooo check out my beats, you wont be disappointed! they sound like the neptunes

  • It's sad though. Most producers nowadays are following trends. Just not too long ago, everyone was doing LIl Jon beats, before that it was Timbaland sound beats. Most producers don't even realize they're doing it. "cookie cutter" beats is what i call em.....

  • its hard to be original for alot of people mainly because they do it for the $

  • i feel ya.....so let me ask you this soldier, if i walk into a distribution company with buckets of money to push, promote, and start a buzz and yet my material is garbage, they would still put it out there? I mean, isn't that whats going on now?

  • thats exactly what the game is,its not about talent at all. labels aint handin out money anymore thats old news. the economy plays a big part in it. i know for a fact thrs reall talent out there tho, ive been hearin some stupid nice unsigned artist lately.. mostly outside the U.S

  • @2ndleebetts, why? doing it for the money is often times what makes people get real original and creative if you think about it.

  • i dont think u can force originality, originality comes out of time and love for the art. ofcourse u wanna get paid for doin what u love to do, but doing it just for the money is why everybody imitates whoever is hot.

  • @2ndleebetts, no you do not need to love what you do to be original. If your getting paid a few Gs to produce a real creative original track of a genre you don't even like too much, you'll be able to find creativity. Originality is of the brain. As Einstein said, "being creative is just being smart and knowing how to hide your resources."

time and love for the art helps no doubt but so does money! (aka a genuine incentive)

doing it for the money don't always mean imitating whats hot.

  • it would still take time though, the smartest person wouldnt be able to just sit down and make somethin original and hot just after a few sessions. you have to have some kind of passion for it or u would just quit after a wile. same thing for anything els wether its a business, or whatever it may be. your saying that i can be the next great painter or piccasso with no love for art, just pure hunger for money and brains.lol. i just dont agree, not when it comes to creativity

  • @2ndleebetts, nah see I never said you can be the next picasso/mozart without enjoying what you do (even though theoretically you could but..) I just said money cant be counted out as an inspiration either. You think I'm saying money is a better inspiration then enjoying what you do which is not what I'm saying at all, read my comments.

  • @JahLoveOnline money can't be counted out as an inspiration...but it can be as Motivation.

  • well is not that they wanna do what every one doing is that who every paying them make n them do that or they pay some one 10,000 to do it

  • @blackkabnet that true and then people hear all this stuff about a certain drum machine or producing programs and then they go out and get because they heard it from some one... they dont have creativity then dont know the technical aspects of what they doing ... they say "oh i got soul and my music is real" and then they say they favorite music artists is soulja boy and wack flocka or lil b... like c'mon dude...

  • @blackkabnet

Making your own sound is very hard to do.....you make a sound then its too weak, you make another sound but someone is already doing it. You gotta give these other producers some slack. Hip hop is all about biting anyway...from bboy to music

  • learning how music works through reading makes it easier to approach music if yu dnt have a good music backround thats the point he is tryna make

  • Great

  • BAPES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • is for faggots

  • why?

  • @jesterjmac cuz its gay as hell

  • This is definitely good advice! I would recommend logic although you need a mac for it and those are expensive but you can create, mix, and record in logic but me i don't have a mic or pre-amp or cables so i've been creating and mixing for about two years now and my shit now is way better than it was and now i can go back and remix what doesn't sound right to me and then when i get a mic and such i will be able to record vocals and mix them into the tracks i've created

  • i think its fuckin awesome that a producer can make hits and not play a damn thing like timbo i think thats more creative cause ur constantly thinkin how to aviod playin musical shit

  • Not necessarily. Skill sharpens creativity.

  • not really. Danja who is a awesome producer once said he was affriad to take lessions for piano because he was afraid he was gonna lose his rawness. there a certain way of thinkin when it comes to not playin anything. ur music is more loose and not structured like building

  • Did this producer ever take any lessons? Did he ever prove that by avoiding them he is a better musician? Not really. All that illustration shows is his fear, not that he was better for it. Learning from another musician opens up the possibility of learning techniques one might not have discovered on their own. With more knowledge, you have more potential to create more diverse things, thus spawning creativity.

  • u dont know Danjahandz? dude worked for timbaland. he did all of madonna, justin timberlake, duran duran britney spears shit and he cant read music. i mean we all have diff opnions and i see yours but if danja had all this classical background he couldnt have done all that crazy shit for em. u can disagree if u want

  • Yeah some can still have an amazing ear, and layer sounds without a knowledge of playing instruments

  • they're cool

  • How is that possible? Pharrell looks like 15!He is 36!!

  • stay shaved,

    dont smoke,

    lol,

    idk.

    -Ankelz

  • what? wiki says he 33, this video 3+ years, so he 30 at oldest here...

  • dnt belive everything you read on wiki alot of stuff on there is false info

  • Well actually it says pharrell is 36 and chad is 35 so they'd be at liest 33 minimum.

  • @Roussosko melatonin, look it up

  • @Roussosko u dont know............Money

  • @Roussosko

Because Black people dont age as fast as other races, its true

  • @gio1764 im black .....after reading this message i figured your retarded

  • Who is your English teacher? That was very difficult to read.

  • what version of beautiful is playing in background?

  • i kno it sounds like a version 2 of the original, with the freestyles on it, sounds wayyyy coool

  • clever dudes

  • Pharrell is the one how mostly plays da music. He plays da drums and most the times keys. I think that Chad is one bad ass producer. BUt i don't think that all pharrell is a image whore. LOL

  • Chad is a beast dude, and he fuckin rips a lot of shit on the keys.

  • Lol I know. Pharrell is bad ass producer but Chad is the one who fine tunes the sound, Pharrell does the ground work, Chad cleans it all up. But I do think Pharel is very aware of how he looks, visually, aesthetically all that, and he is very talented. The neptunes sound is unique to them

  • Sounded Like Slick Rick??

  • Only Pharrell can wear his hat like that.

  • lol

  • yes only him

  • the song is hiddembeache records beutiful

  • so true, i need to get back on my keys!

  • Whats the song at the start. I know its 'Beautiful' but its not the modern one its sounds like its from the 70's or something. anyone know

  • hot boys

  • CHAD is talking.

    -Speechless

  • check ur history homie

  • 2 Words Soft Ware.

  • i agree that you dont necessarily need them 2 make beats but they dont hurt...but they aren't a waste of time, for instance im actually okay on they keyboard and i've never been accustomed to playing on a piano honestly i just mess around with the fl studio keyboard

  • I dont get it someone please explain, If these are the neptunes who are nerd?

  • Chad and Pharrell form the producersduo The Neptunes. Shae, Chad and Pharrell are the members of nerd

  • ah ok, thanks

  • wrong!

    lol klimop is right

  • nerd is pharrell chad and shay, the neptunes it just chad and pharrell, i dont know why....

  • klimop is absolutley right. Chad & Pharrell = The Neptunes (they produce tracks for many different singers & rappers)

N.E.R.D. (No one Ever Really Dies) is a band including Chad, Pharrell & Shay (Pharrells cousin).

    Simples
