An egg every day until the dry skin is gone. Then you can give him one every once in a while. That's what I have done. It's rare that my dogs get that way. It's not like a chronic thing.

nice vid! My beagle has the same problem. I give her a shower without any shampoo just water. Those shampoos really dry there skin out. Also watch the vids on here about draining the dogs anal glands. I know it is nasty but it has to be done. goodluck

my grandparents had a beagle that would get really bad hot spots on the rear end and they would always use bag balm and itd take care of it, my dog gets hot spots and dry skin sometimes so i put bag balm on him...its in a green tin...

We have used Gold Bond powder on our dogs and it works good...also try cleaning the area with vinegar or peroxide before put on the Gold Bond Powder. :)
