The U.S. is very reliant on migrant labor. Companies pay them as little as possible so they can get the most work for nothing. MY GOD, this is a nightmare. There has to be a system in place while reviewing health care reform and imigration reform that factors in the costs for this. If we allow this, the hospitals will say hey she doesn't need life support it costs to much I don't care what her family wants. He was injured in the U.S, his life destroyed by another individual that individual should be responsible for his medical expenses and a COURT OF LAW should determine deportation, not a private company (hospital)!

This is the way I see it, the drunk driver should pay for it, if the drunk is dead or unable to, then I think U.S. hospitals already done enough as it is, he came here illegally, paid no taxes, it's unfortunate that the accident happened, but that's the risk you take when you come here illegally. There are plenty of hospitals in other countries that will not even treat a patient without getting paid first. I agree he should be sent back to his country, his condition has been stabilized.

They did pay. They want more. If he had been an American the hospital would have put a lien on their home and froze their bank accounts until the hospital bill was paid.
