I made my own X-Brush. But it wont work the same way as yours. Yours seem to create small smudged "X's" but mine only smudges.. just like any smudge tool. why?

A shortcut to do the black border is...

Go to the doted square tool (Rectangular Marque Tool), press ctrl a, right click on you sig, click 'stroke', type in how big for the lines to be and what colour, hit OK.

@KanameKuranX5 Presumably, the sig document is in Grayscale mode. Go to Image -> Mode and click 'RGB Color'; then, drag the render onto the canvas again, and it should retain its colour. If, when changing the mode, it asks you whether you want to flatten the image or not, press 'Do not flatten' - that way you can keep the background layer without having to make a new one.

How did you erase the logo of the fuys who rendered it what tool? and how did you put the render on the sig i use gimp so im use to File> Open as layers

@Tremphthon To delete the logo, you can do a number of things; either just use the Eraser tool, or get the rectangular select marquee (Press 'R' in GIMP), drag a box around the logo and hit 'Delete'.

For the render, 'Open as layers' is fine; in Photoshop you can drag things from one document to another, so it's okay to open the render separately; in GIMP, trying to drag the render across will only put it outside the canvas, so you have to open it within your canvas by using 'Open as layers'.

@novasus Turn down the Tolerance on the magic wand tool until it only selects the background.
