a german makes shure its built propperly and some skilled workers in britain put it together...british design and herritage with german sensible engineering...beats french...everything
I come from a family who previously had Morris Marina, Austin Allegro, Hillman Imp, Peugeot 305, Toyota Carina II, Renault 19,Rover 216, Mercedes C180, Ford Focus I and II, Mazda 3. Believe me, the best cars of all (to drive) were the French, the worst were the British, the most ignorant the German, and the best to own, the japanese! If I had to choose one, This would be the Peugeot!!
@toy2day So you are basing a whole countries trades, companys not related in any way, on the fact you drove a few cheap family cars from a certain brand?
@TomClark2 Exactly!!! I am about to buy a Renault Megane II of 2004 1.6 16V for 4500 euros, knowing that I'll buy a fast, economic and fun to drive car, but being unreliable!!! However if I wanted to buy a Mitsubishi Lancer of the same age, I would give 7000 euros, I would have a dull car to drive, but I will be having a solid and reliable car. It would be better to compare a Megane RS with a Lancer EVO?
@toy2day What you are about the buy is in fact a quite reliable car from every aspect expect for the auto transmission, which was apparently outsourced to a Japanese trans. manufacturer, supposedly known for building good and reliable transmissions. However, they fucked up and therefore Megane II auto transmissions all have the same chronic problem: they break after a while and require service. As you can imagine, Renault does not outsource its transmission to that company any longer.
i actually like this car. idk why they try to sell them here anymore. it reminds me of a honda from the back. But i like this car. it's a shame that this car is not in the US market. The nearest place to find one of those is in Mexico since they are full of them.
THE FIRST TIME I SAW IT ON THE ROAD, I THOUGHT IT WAS AN ASTON MARTIN!

It has some nice lines, and I have to admit, the back end gives more than a tip of the hat towards the DB9, but thats no bad thing is it!
