It wont be so bad if he would make fun of his own believe (Catholic), but he will not, because that will be against his conviction.

Watch his plays carefully you will see him making fun of our church, in most of his plays.

I am not much of a religious person myself, but my argument is for people like my parents, and a lot of other genuine believers in the Assyrian church.

How can you say that? If you call Iraq as our home, then I would rather stay homeless any time. Iraq has been in Turmoil for years. The Assyrians are busy trying to survive the massacre from the entire Arabs ad Kurds. I doubt if our people in Iraq will ever have the chance to ever attempt to enjoy amateur production. Apart from the ones that have sold their people to Kurds and Arabs, and are living comfortably through the suffering of other true fellow Assyrians.

The problem with Sami is that in all his plays he is either drunk, or making fun of the church, or both. Perhaps it is time for a change. You can tell he is influenced by his time in Iraq; pity that all the years he has spent in England hasn't modernized his writing and acting ability. Target the new generation for a change, enough of making plays only suitable for our grandfathers
