Broly isn't stronger than Gohan. Broly is actually weak. He has no manga based around him, he isn't canon, and no where does the original dub say he is stronger then anything past SSJ1. Broly is only slightly more powerful than an SSJ1. Making him weaker than Gohan, who is in SSJ2.
The movies have nothing 2 do with the original DBZ plot. Superman can't compare 2 DBZ strength and speed. It so stupid 2 think that superman even comes close to even be a match for them. Gohan noticibly had 1 spike against Broly and his hair looked different, later when he did the Kamehameha with Goten he had two spikes and was very clearly SSJ1. I'd say Toei DID just forget the lightning, it happens all the time in the movies.

I don't think Gohan was in SSJ2 just because he didn't have the extended and more wildly hair witht he short inpoint on front, as well as the electricity comming through. I don't see what everyone is arguing about. It is simple gohan was at ssj2 but since he was sissy around that time he was not at ssj2 peek. Around this time I believe that vegeta, goku and broli were at or surpassed ssj2. Simply fact guys... aren't you forgetting that a LSSJ grows in power almost continuously, thereby making his power growth in such a long span, exponentially greater than a SSJ2?
@princeamal Technically, his power isn't infinite. He simply "powers up" without needing to "power up", so to speak. He still has a limit to his power, his energy just continues to rise the longer he fights instead of fall as he fights, like the other characters. He's still technically between a SSJ and SSJ2, power-wise. Broly is basically the absolute pinnacle of the first SSJ transformation, while still being weaker than a normal SSJ2
Broly may be only a Super Saiyan in technicality but I would say he IS stronger than an Ascended Saiyan... Remember, Gohan is fighting him right now as an SSJ2 and that really doesn't seem to be doing much.
It seems like the only way to get an upperhand against him is to fight Broly as a SSJ3, but... Obviously that's not available right now.
@ohmss069 It is true. Yes, Broly is stronger than an Ascended Saiyajin, but that in turn is still weaker than a normal SSJ2. Like I said, Broly is most likely the very pinnacle of the first SSJ transformation; more powerful than any other SSJ in exsistance. However, SSJ2, normally, would trump him.
There's no real official evidence to prove that Gohan went SSJ2 against him. And even if he did, Gohan isn't a "normal" SSJ2; he's considerably weaker than standard at that point
@Arthurmagicknight brolys transformation shouldn't be consider a regular supersaiyan, stated by the artist, his supersaiyan know as the legendary supersaiyan is genetical special to broly. So comparing him to gohan and gokus regular transformations of supersaiyan won't make sense no matter how your look at it.
@Stevon125 Well yeah, Like it's been mentioned, his SSJ transformation continuously powers him up as he fights. He doesn't lose energy the longer he's in his form unlike a normal SSJ form and instead gains energy until he hits his peak. That's what makes it unique. Besides the body size, of course.

The movies have nothing 2 do with the original DBZ plot. Superman can't compare 2 DBZ strength and speed. It so stupid 2 think that superman even comes close to even be a match for them. @MichaelnMaximo I was on the "Gohan was SSJ1" side, but to be honest I don't really know any more and I'm starting to lean towards SSJ2. Gohan noticibly had 1 spike against Broly and his hair looked different, later when he did the Kamehameha with Goten he had two spikes and was very clearly SSJ1. I'd say Toei DID just forget the lightning, it happens all the time in the movies.

Cell launched a Kamehameha wave that would of destroyed the earth had Goku not lured it away. Same thing with goku, if he concentrated enough energy into a Kamehameha Wave he will blow up the planet. Also Goku can train in 10x gravity with over 8 tons on each arm and leg. He was able to punch insanely fast.

I don't think Gohan was in SSJ2 just because he didn't have the extended and more wildly hair witht he short inpoint on front, as well as the electricity comming through. I think it was just SSj vs legendary SSJ, if gohan was in SSJ2 he might have lasted longer, that's a MAYBE, he's nothing like he inn his younger years in this movie. If he was SSJ2 in the first broly movie, he would have lasted the longest with his father.

I don't see what everyone is arguing about. It is simple gohan was at ssj2 but since he was sissy around that time he was not at ssj2 peek. Around this time I believe that vegeta, goku and broli were at or surpassed ssj2. Vegeta is a perfect example of a ssj2 at peek and broli is stronger than a regular ssj2 because of his legendary form he is around the middle of a regular ssj2 and ssj3.

Broly in his LSSJ form had more power than SSJ3 Goku, and the other way that Gohan could have come close to winning is if he was Mystic, but since this was before Buu his Mystic form did not exist. SSJ2 teen Gohan, even though he was fast, he wouldn't have come remotely close to beating him.

Wrong. Don't forget Broly shit on Goku, Teen Gohan, Vegeta, Future Trunks, and Piccolo with ease. In this part of the DBZ series the Gohan (as a teen) is a super saiyan 2 as he was when he beat Cell. Also at this time Vegeta and Trunks are both ascended saiyans (bulky) and Goku ascended but he did it the correct way. No way a regular super saiyan Broly can take them all at once plus Piccolo (super namek) without being atleast a ssj2 (ascended) it took their powers combined to defeat Broly

@princeamal Technically, his power isn't infinite. He simply "powers up" without needing to "power up", so to speak. He still has a limit to his power, his energy just continues to rise the longer he fights instead of fall as he fights, like the other characters. He's still technically between a SSJ and SSJ2, power-wise. Broly is basically the absolute pinnacle of the first SSJ transformation, while still being weaker than a normal SSJ2

Broly may be only a Super Saiyan in technicality but I would say he IS stronger than an Ascended Saiyan... Remember, Gohan is fighting him right now as an SSJ2 and that really doesn't seem to be doing much.
It seems like the only way to get an upperhand against him is to fight Broly as a SSJ3, but... Obviously that's not available right now.

@ohmss069 It is true. Yes, Broly is stronger than an Ascended Saiyajin, but that in turn is still weaker than a normal SSJ2. Like I said, Broly is most likely the very pinnacle of the first SSJ transformation; more powerful than any other SSJ in exsistance. However, SSJ2, normally, would trump him.
There's no real official evidence to prove that Gohan went SSJ2 against him. And even if he did, Gohan isn't a "normal" SSJ2; he's considerably weaker than standard at that point

So comparing him to gohan and gokus regular transformations of supersaiyan won't make sense no matter how your look at it.

@Stevon125 Well yeah, Like it's been mentioned, his SSJ transformation continuously powers him up as he fights. He doesn't lose energy the longer he's in his form unlike a normal SSJ form and instead gains energy until he hits his peak. That's what makes it unique. Besides the body size, of course.
