@MrStallownage Eh, it's a good movie. Not bad at all, though there's no need to obsess over such a film. I personally love the animated series "Avatar: The Last Airbender" more thoroughly, and in any event it *was* the first Avatar. But comparing a Nickelodeon, anime-inspired television series with a James Cameron, Fox Films movie... There certainly is more footage in the show but that's a given. Both are great, but the series exceeds it in awesomeness.

Watch both, though. :)

Ha, I used to think it was a lady singing this! The one doing the awh awh thing, I mean. However, the more I listen to it, the more I think it sounds like a young boy (especially the notes around 0:33-0:35)...though evidence of it being so is pretty much everywhere.

I can't believe I never noticed this...I've listened to this track quite a few times, too. Things you learn...

I watch anime a lot and the ones ive seen all have original ideas. I've come up with original ideas for movies and such(im big into filmography) it's not THAT hard if you're creative. James cameron just isn't creative and this movie doesn't deserve to have the rating it does. Take away the unoirginal story and the CGI and what are you left with?

The movie didn't end realistically at all. In the real world, the natives would have been wiped out by disease, lack of tech, communication with other tribes, etc.

I looked up the original and found a breathtaking time lapse vid of the night sky using that song, and it just doesn't get old, just like some of these songs just don't get old, at least not yet, or never,lol, but yeah, good songs like this give me goosebumps.

Avatar was one of the things that inspired me to pursue a career in environmental science. I totally agree with the message in this movie about loving and connecting with nature and I think it's cool that they combined that with an awesome action sci-fi!!
