Grow up and accept the world. Because its the only one we have. And listening to Christian Metal actually helps and sooth's my sorrows and blesses my ears. I Don't believe God would put my Preference towards Metal while it is a Sin.
lady for the love of god (no pun intended) just because you dont like a certain genre of music doesnt mean that God or Jesus wouldnt like it either. Like really the band name is "demon hunter." as in hunting demons, not pro demon or being with the demon, it explains itself. I can only imiaginie that God or Jesus would like anything where the intentions are good. Deicide? obviously thats not a christian band like cmon man...
Furthermore, music is amoral. The lyrics are what make music good or bad, not the style. I would strongly caution against making legalistic statements of how listening to Christian metal can turn one into a reprobate. I would also caution against limiting God to use whatever means, or style of music, to spread the Gospel. As a worship leader, I find myself getting just as lost in worshiping God through metal as I do any contemporary Christian worship leaders like Hillsong or Chris Tomlin.
I feel that you didn't give the bands a fair chance by not examining their lyrics or even going to a Christian metal show. I've been to several shows and have the opportunity to see the band members witnessing and praying with people in the crowd. They are taking the love of Christ to a group of people who have been rejected by many Christians because they have tattoos and piercings. They are doing exactly what Paul said he did in 1 Cor. 9:19-23 - becoming all things in order to reach many.
As a Christian pastor with tattoos who listens to Christian metal, I understand what you're trying to do and I respect the fact that you seem genuinely concerned. But I have to disagree with your conclusions derived solely from looking at album art. There are a lot of symbolic meanings and metaphors behind art that we don't always understand or see. Judging something by it's appearance is exactly what the Pharisees did. The Pharisees were very "godly looking", but Jesus pointed to their fruit.

The album covers and the people judging by looks is I believe incorrect... They have a past.. we all do. The covers, I think are trying to grab the attention of those who don't believe in God and hopefully turn them to God. Though I understand what makes them look evil. omg I can't even finish watching this. 1st of all I am NOT a fan of metal, Christian or otherwise. However, this video is a load of crap. I gave up after hearing her talk about the Star of David. You are very ignorant of music, history, etc. I think that people are drawn to different styles of music and it's wonderful that there are people out there who glorify God with their lyrics, reaching out to people so that they don't have to listen to satanic music to find enjoyment. Calling another Christian "stupid" is uncharitable and we should be better than that. Furthermore, music is amoral. The lyrics are what make music good or bad, not the style. I would strongly caution against making legalistic statements of how listening to Christian metal can turn one into a reprobate. I would also caution against limiting God to use whatever means, or style of music, to spread the Gospel. As a worship leader, I find myself getting just as lost in worshiping God through metal as I do any contemporary Christian worship leaders like Hillsong or Chris Tomlin.

I feel that you didn't give the bands a fair chance by not examining their lyrics or even going to a Christian metal show. I've been to several shows and have the opportunity to see the band members witnessing and praying with people in the crowd. They are taking the love of Christ to a group of people who have been rejected by many Christians because they have tattoos and piercings. They are doing exactly what Paul said he did in 1 Cor. 9:19-23 - becoming all things in order to reach many.

As a Christian pastor with tattoos who listens to Christian metal, I understand what you're trying to do and I respect the fact that you seem genuinely concerned. But I have to disagree with your conclusions derived solely from looking at album art. There are a lot of symbolic meanings and metaphors behind art that we don't always understand or see. Judging something by it's appearance is exactly what the Pharisees did. The Pharisees were very "godly looking", but Jesus pointed to their fruit.
