wow this is so upsetting. thank you brian for working to shed light on the vicious cycle of prostitution. oftentimes women know how degrading and awful it is, but do it in hopes that they will be able to afford opportunities for their children that they never had, so that they don't have to resort to the same profession. shows like this should be on TV, it shows the real issues a community faces that need to be addressed.

This is sad, I do agree, but in a way, she brought it onto herself. Think about it, if she wasn't prostituting, she wouldn't have been treated like that. IF she was prostituting for a living, like I heard you say in another video I was watching, she could atleast get a job. Just to clearify, like I said, I don't agree that the person who did this to the mother was right, but in another way, I do feel like if this is what needs to be done to stop prostitution, then maybe it needs to happen more.

The people who did this are in jail??? i dont know about you, but i dont want my hard earned money going to keeping these people in jail. we have to pay for their food, clothing, protection. we have to pay the salaries of the prision guards that watch them. It costs so much to keep them in prison... Her life was not some after school special. I was very sad to see her life ended in such a way, but she did not prostitute to take care of her kids. She let her kids with her mother and she lived on the streets.

THIS is proof that street prostitution really is horrible and should be put to a halt. Before jailing the prostitutes once they've been caught, they should be given the oppertunity to have some form of training at a community center or something which takes them out of danger.

Actually, I knew her and she did not prostitute to raise her kids. She pawned them off on her mother and she spent her money on dope. It is true though that in the last year she was at least making an attempt to change her life.

I am surprised that they the news actually reported this. A lot of times when crimes happen to prostitutes or the homeless, there deaths or abuse gets overlooked. Only when there is a rash of attacks against them do we find out. The vid said she quit though. That is just heartbreaking knowing that someone could actually set another person on fire.

Actually, they are rethinking the legalized prostitution in Amsterdam and have actually scaled it back in recent years. Also, most parts of Nevada allow regulated prostitution, yet Nevada ranks as one of the top US cities for illegal prostitution and rape.

Actually, yes i do expect them to work at WalMart or any number of places that WILL hire them. She actually had not worked the streets in months and was employed at the Oklahoma Fair Grounds in the cleaning crew. She was studying to get her driver's license because she was offered a crew chief position if she could drive the crew truck. She was a hard worker, but drug addiction kept her down.

this is so gross and so sad. my heart goes out to the family. i'm from vancouver, where serial killer(s) picked off at least 60 women over a ten year period, brutally murdered them (in unspeakable ways), ground them up, and fed them to pigs. we need to start protecting women. no matter how much we feel they do not deserve protection. i don't know what we can do, but i think it starts with more services, safe houses, and intervention. even if they are given a safe place to prostitute. ugh.
