As a star the size of our sun begins to die, it does get larger (but that is still billions of years in the future for our sun), and it does so because fission has turned all of the hydrogen fuel it uses to burn into helium, which lessens the it's mass, causing it to get larger due to LESSER GRAVITY. If it turns into a white dwarf, it loses a large portion of it's mass. Our sun is not by any means getting larger at this stage in it's life.

@MrTex1987 I know our orbit isn't a perfect circle and changes slightly (within a thousand miles) from year to year, but it is considered stable, and there is no decay in our orbit. What about the Hubble space telescope and other orbiting telescopes? They aren't making "educated guesses" as to what other planets are doing. Hell, you can see mars on a clear night with the naked eye and it looks like a star, not a blur. The weather isn't hotter here. It is raining. In July.

As a star the size of our sun begins to die, it does get larger (but that is still billions of years in the future for our sun), and it does so because fission has turned all of the hydrogen fuel it uses to burn into helium, which lessens the it's mass, causing it to get larger due to LESSER GRAVITY. If it turns into a white dwarf, it loses a large portion of it's mass. Our sun is not by any means getting larger at this stage in it's life.

Our orbit isn't the exact same year after year, and it generally varies by around 50,000 kilometers, so your idea that being off by a mile would kill us all is stupid as all Hell. We do need this planet a very great deal, but we will have to create life that can survive elsewhere, This race of humans will always need earths air but earth will not live forever. When our legacy is created their primitive minds will see us as God and the cycle will continue, hopefully without as much bloodshed :)

The suns gravity has actually stopped us from orbiting outward anymore and is slowly pulling us back in. But Im striving to make a point here....And that is that humans arent dumb or savage. What about the Hubble space telescope and other orbiting telescopes? They aren't making "educated guesses" as to what other planets are doing. Hell, you can see mars on a clear night with the naked eye and it looks like a star, not a blur. The weather isn't hotter here. It is raining. In July.

EVERY YEAR we reach perihelion (January 3rd) where we are 147.3 million kilometers from the sun, and we reach aphelion (July 4th) where we are 152.1 million kilometers from the sun. That is a difference of 5 million kilometers, which is a bit more than a mile. Still waiting for you to describe how the sun gains mass and gravity over time. That is ridiculous claim as well.
