Anyway, Arg outplayed Mex the first 70 min, then Mex woke up, but it was too late. That is what really bothered me. These playes spent most of the game complaining. If they had just done what they were capable of doing, they might've won. I keep reminding people to stop blaming the ref and Osorio's boneheaded mistake. It was a team failure.

Surely Argentina would have still won but I doubt they would have scored those other two goals in that manner due to the course this goal implemented mentally on Mexico. The only goal I could assure would have happened for sure was the last one. So it could have been 1-1 or who knows the game would have turned out differently. Reminiscing of 86 England. Cheaters.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I have been told, that an offside position is judged only when there is one person between the attacker and the goal at the time of the ball being passed.

Usually it's the goalkeeper, who is the "one person", but in rare cases offside can be judged with a defending player being between the goal and the attacker (e.g. seen in a corner earlier in this World Cup). When Tevez was passed the ball, there was NO PLAYER between him and the goal, therefore he was not offside.

If there are NO PLAYERS nearer to the goal and you are ahead of the ball when it is played then you are offside, but if you are behind the ball when it's played then you're onside. Tevez is offside because there are no players nearer to the goal line and he's ahead of the ball when it's played.
