I want one of these so bad! As much as I love my RB67, the thing is huge. The Fuji may seem big to a Leicaman, but coming from RB's and view cameras, it might as well be a little pocket digicam.
Steve- you mean to tell us that you only own ONE tripod?
And you are also telling us that you could not wait for the next day or to borrow a tripod before shooting this video. Sorry but after viewing so many unboxing video what gets me is people trying to unboxe with one hand. I looks soooo all thumbs and distracting.
I still prefer Plaubel Makina 670, I think. Plaubel is slightly smaller than Fuji yet it has a longer rangefinder base, and it seems to me a better lens. Specifically, all the photos taken with Fuji's Heliar lens that I've seen on the web so far show (to me) a really unpleasant bokeh. Not as bad as from a mirror telephoto but kind of leaning in that direction, very "aggresive" and "busy". Plaubel's Nikkor is pure silk.
the design corporates both medium and large format, which is really cool, but id say if u want one like this id stick to the large format 4x5 for more flexibility :)
i still have my rolleiflex 2.7 fx with all its expensive gadget accesories, they are in dry cabinet. i will never sell it but will never use it either.
Shot four rolls with it so far and its a great take anywhere camera. Did some street, some landscape and some portraits. Films should be back in a few days so results will be on my site. I may have to buy this one...
'Might be the weight of an MP...' I hope your not talking about John Prescott cause I'm not going to carry that around all day!

Mamiya 7 seems to be much more versatile camera with lots of second hand around. Perhaps not as compact but this beast isn't exactly a pocket camera

I like large, heavy cameras,

Something about it just seems cheap. I wanted a heavier [Hasselblad heavy] camera like this.
I hope the next review encourages me.
