Hey, just wanted to let everyone know I've left Open Labs and started a new company called Music Computing. Check out the new gear at Music Computing or click the link below for videos. - Thanks, Victor Wong
And now a D-Beat with Dual Intel Quad Core i7 CPU's. My Single PC system with WinXP, Intel i7 2,8GHz outperforms this D-Beat thing (3.0GHz Dual Core CPU) ...
And, yes, you need that power. As you always need more power to do more / complex things as the time goes by...
This is the future. Right now the only thing it offers me is portability in an integrated unit though. It does a great job at that too. Compared to a laptop setup with controllers, this looks great, but it's underkill compared to what I'm already able to do elsewhere -- even the Miko is. Right now I'll stick to what I'm using, but this is the direction things look to be going -- and that's a good thing.
hiphopchamber, trance, techno, house, electronic music is much bigger worldwide than hip hop. I personally like hip hop more than anything else, but you have to consider the interest of others around the world. Not all Asian, European, and etc. countries prefer hiphop. Even in the U.S., very few states play it.
so it says on the website that you can connect turntables to it, but looking at the back there are no RCA/Phono/Line inputs? Can any one shed some light on this, I'm guessing you plug yr DJ mixer master out to the unit and route it back through the out put of the D-Beat, which isn't really connecting turntables to it!
god i hate when these companys make a great product and the songs that they demo is always some trance house x pill purple hair belly and chain ring song of the day. why do they think its a big market for that type of music
Well, there is a big market for it man - thats the problem........unfortunately the masses seem to latch on to the cheese - just be thankful the music you and I like is less regularly flaunted for advertising purposes!
the guy in the video is totally hot.

This replaces a 35-45 pound keyboard? That looks like a 35-45 pound computer with some pad, knobs, and filters to me. Neat though I suppose.

UK Price for dbeat pro = 3299
Same spec pc build = 650
audio card = 400
total = 1050
So they are charging an extra £2,250 for the case and controllers
A more correct price for the metal controller case would be £500 imo - but lets say £1000 for the case/controllers.
Still leaves it overpriced by at least £1000.
Nice idea, price takes the p***
