isnt that a piss off, god damn it, i remember the first day i took my course and they were cat controles, so, god, damn, frustrating hahaha.....i just kept saying, stick, boom, stick, boom.....and yes, it makes you look like you have noooo idea what your doing....you just brought me back to that day hahaha...
I'm glad my Takeuchi is set up the same as my backhoe, I know the feeling, but in reverse. My first shot at excavator pattern on a cat was just about as pretty as yours in backhoe pattern. (I wonder why they had the machine you were using set up like that in the first place?)
Yeah I don't like that, We have a 1974 Ford and once a Case 888 and they both had JD controls, it takes me 10-15 minutes to get used to the opposite controls when the other 2 excavators.
"A real operator can run both styles equally well". "You may be a good operator, but ur not an expert till you can run each as good as the other" That's what an old timmer told me when i complained many years ago. Come to think of it, he's right. lol
haha classic.... piece of shit!.... so of a bitch!...... I'm gona flip this over before its over with....! all in the first minute..haha ive been in those shoes before!
I spent more time looking at your rear view mirror at the gap between the dirt and your tracks than what you were actually doing. Keep it up, love the vids!
Hi whats different?? most machines iv run...case komatsu etc.. have right stick pull back for boom back and left stick back for stick book in and left stick left for slew left and right oppersite and right stick left for bucket curl in and right out etc is this normal layout??? awsome vid btw keep em up ;) joe
i believe JD controls are for farmers IMO. i can run both but it takes 15 minutes for me to get used to deere, for just one valve being different it puts a world of hurt on your brain
best video ever! Im the other way around i run deere controls. our komatsu excavator has the deere pattern too. it is aggrevating. i think im going to swap the hoses on my backhoe to cat pattern so i can run both
When you say the controls are backwards? I understand that their backwards from normal controls.. But what do you mean exactly? Could you maybe tell us in the next vid?
From the way you were talking in the video.. I assume up was down and down was up and in was out and out was in?
In spite of the switch, you were making good progress on the grass in just 5 minutes of this video. Send more.
I guess they can't use weed killer since it's a water source. I had a small hoe once and I liked the 'heavy' controls, swing and boom, on the left and the 'light' controls, stick and bucket, on the right. I'm right handed and my left arm is like a club foot so it worked out.
You should try to be proficient in both ways unless you never have to use a different machine. Operating different equipment is gauranteed in my job and you have to learn to use both types of controls. Won't take you long to get used to it and you'll be better for it. Some machines do have a selector switch but none where I work.
Whenever I hop into a machine where they switched from SAE (cat controls) to ISO (deere controls), I curse their name because I look like a complete idiot trying to operate it.
god dammid your piece of shit haha .LOL
