As great and near flawless as this season was, the ending really bugs me. It just comes out of no where and it's really jarring to see the main digimon in their younger forms for the first and only time. It manages to fit with the whole bittersweet tone of the ending though.

i watched the last episode on TV and at the end Takato is talking about how thing have gone back to normal after the digimon have left.... after talking about what has happened he then has a brainwave and goes back and finds the portal that they went through the 1st time and the last scene was then finding there digimon again.... did this actually happen cause i can't find that ending anywhere? Though there was a movie set after this so i suppose it did.... any1 no where to find that ending???

@shodowmanben What happened was that he saw a shining thing, which you assume is the portal, and then the credits play. It never really shows them find the digimon again, but they leave it so you can assume they do ;D And I have no idea when that movie's supposed to take place XD

In Japanese and English this is my favorite anime from my childhood. It's one of the only anime that got a great dub. The voice actors were not just reading their script for this one when it was dubbed. I have that complaint with so many dubs these days. And there's something about digimon tamers that made me fall in love with it for life. I liked the ones before but they weren't anywhere near as memorable and the ones after sucked.

after watching all the episodes i immediately watched this. It was really saddening to know that tamers will probably never be used again and that Takato Henry and Rika are now no more than a memory in digimon fans. Well done on the video though a great ending to a great series!

Actually, my dad spoke to the producers, and they're thinking about season six being a few years after tamers. They get reunited with Guilmon, Renamon, Guardromon, Terriermon, etc. I hope they do!

I don't know who sang it, but it's a Pokemon song called The Time Has Come (Pikachu's Goodbye). We first hear it when Ash decides Pikachu will be better off with a group of wild Pikachu, and more recently, in the movie Latios and Latias were in, Pokemon Heroes.

It never tells you. There's a movie afterwards, but you can tell it takes place during the series, not after it.

I know I'm a bit late with this comment, but if you're refering to "Runaway Locomon" it takes place after the series finale, stating that they reunited with their respective partners at some point after the series ended. And in the very last episode Takato finds a portal digital world in Guilmon's hideout, so that could explain a bit ;). Really good job on the video!
