  • carburalo wey!!!!

  • U need someone to help u pal????

  • You need to get some serious lessons on how to tune an engine the right way, its running lean, by the second time it stall i would off stop the video check the plane, fix it and then go have a good time in the air. good luck next time.

  • @TheLoqueque Thanks for the tips, My brother has moved up since this video was shot, now he flies actual Cessna 's.

  • its a toy mark the video as a TOY god its the real pilots you piss off fag

  • That guy is a joke!! As is the video!! Nothign happens

  • Break in motor on a bench run it a quarter throttle first tank half throttle 2nd tank

  • eXISTEM DIAS QUE PARECE QUE NÃO É PARA VOAR....

  • nice fucking plane, but the pilot needs his ass kicked bcus he is a fucking idiot who don`t even know how to handle a sweet machine like dat!!

    to bad ass wipe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • sound like me on the craper 3:05

  • @a100nick

    lol!

  • Nice plane you had, but the engine needs a richer mix of fuel! Turn the needle out (counter clockwise) at least 360 degrees.

  • Hey bro, sounds like your idle speed needle needs to be leaned out. Sounds kind of rich when you throttle up.

Well could be something else as well coz not too familiar with GWS.

  • jako stim neumí vzlítnout nebo co

  • lol, my names tim, i had the same airplane, and i crashed it....BIG time....

  • Comment removed

  • Respond to this video... before i would get into this kinda expensive plane i would really learn the how to's and the how not to's... this plane can fly awesome for those who knows how to..., it's gonna be a waste of time, effort, money to fly this kinda plane with out even knowing the mechanics first...

  • i see why he crashed it. he is not careful with it.

  • Nice plane. 1: Turn neddle valuve 1/2 turn richer. 2: change glow plug. 3:Check fuel line for tiny hole, which will cause air to get in and stall engine when you throttle up.

  • its not cold its just not tuned.

  • TO LEAN!

  • the more damage a glow plug gets the more it forces the engine to be tuned leaner and leaner until the plug just has nothing left on the coil to retain heat and it flames out.

looks and sounds like the plug was fried from a lean high end needle.

when the plug if fried it will not idle.

that filler port is junk also they can bleed air into the system if the valve is not closed properly.

always start rich when you add a new plug.

  • sorry about your motor hommie ! try evolution brand motors, they're inexpensive and they just dont quit, plus you can find the parts to them anywhere. that's a nice bird, I'm about to buy one but im looking 4 a good deal. where did you get that one? I like that color. please let me know so I can get me one.

  • 2 stroke GWS engines suck

  • Tried to find it, it was a good looking plane dude, gotta give you credit for that.

  • Dude I never you wasted my life I siad you waisted my time. There is a slight diff.

I thought you were at least going to fly it or something, not practice starting it and putting in and pulling out the glow starter from your pocket.

I think you pretty much had that part down after like the second try. Now how about flying it? Oh no wait you can't cause you crashed it.

  • You should check out the crash video. It flies in that one.

  • Oh well thats 6:45 min I'll never get back thanks for wasting my time dude.

  • well you are the only one to complain out of 58,000+ people who have watched this vid!

  • thats the reason i dont like the gms engines

thats a 47. the towerhobbies 46 is such a destructive engine. it doesnt want to turn off even with the throotle cut. it has have a lot of ground incidents such as crashing and destrroying other planes with the propeller. such a powerfull engine

  • Here's the pinch trick.

Quickly pinch and release the fuel line. If the engine wants to quit, it's too lean. If it doesn't change RPM, it's too rich. If it quickly increases RPM for a moment and then returns to where it was before, it's just right.

  • Runs lean ok high rpm and rich om low rpm.. maybe also to cold glowplug... :(

  • with those kind of control throws im not surprised its already crashed, is that what the manufacturer called for?

  • starting to well to be glow plug problem, learn how to do the pinch test when its running while tuning the carb.happy flying my friend

  • i ment to have im the Queensland and Australian

  • sounds like air bubbles in ur fuel lines. try padding around the gas tank more.

  • it's the fuel mixture because he hasn't adjusted it trust me i know im not dumb

  • Hey, you seem to know a lot about planes, I have always wondered, what does that stick do that you put into the motor before you try to start it?

  • it's for glow and don't go making smart ass coments because in the Queensland and Australian Champion for racing in Q500 so im not a freaking ameteur

  • Im not trying to be a smart ass, im being serious! I didnt know what it was, and i figured you did. : )

  • ok well it is ur glow driver

and when u are trying to start the plane u can get someone to put there finger on the muffler till fuel comes out the carbe and then take ur fingur off it just helps get fuel to the engine quicker

  • ok, i just was wondering because I only have electric planes, I have never tried gas before... Anyways, thanks for the help.

  • in your next plane ,only open the needle valvle 2 turns acelerate all and begin to carburete it good luck from mexico}

  • sorry about how many coments i make but the f-ing full mixture is not right learn more about planes before u try to fly one

  • u have no clue about model planes do you

  • u can just turn the plane on and open the throttle fully open then hold ur finger over the carby and turn the prop a couple times i do it like that all the time when im flying it is easier then taking out the plug and blowing

  • actuially thats not true with an electic starter. it goes fast enough to pull gas into the carb

  • Too Lean. Pressurize the tank instead of sucking the fuel. Geez...

  • who make tht model?

  • nice toy. wtf is the poin of this? yea how about we see it fly?

  • watch the other videos, to see it fly.

  • it obviously doesnt want to take to the sky

  • The day you crashed it is my birthday LOL.

  • it is painfull when crashes. not only moneywise, but time to build

  • man that is so frustrating!! i will agree with rooffy2k though, way way way too lean....if the engine keeps cutting out like that you need to tune the thing better. i had a plane that did that too once and i had to replace the fuel line and made sure that all fit well becaue it would cut out suddenly.

  • Würde ich auch meinen! Leerlauf- und Vollgasnadel einstellen! Wunderschönes Flugzeug!!:)

Beautiful Airplane!! Don't crash it, pleeaassee!!;)

  • wtf..?

  • How can it crash ? It´s uncrashable with a not

workig engine! Video is very funny, it reminds me to times when i tried to start my COX PEE WEE! The COX ran- but mostly in the wrong direction- that was funny, too. Thank you for this great video.

  • Hello,

ich würde mal den Vergaser einstellen!

Dann klappts auch mit dem Motor!

  • looks like an ..... - is an id..t !

  • its always good to go to a local hobby shop and see whats wrong.

  • I think I would have kicked the shisnizzle out of that plane after the 3rd engine stall... You're a better man then me.

  • the wheel pants are ginormous compared to the real thing. pretty cool plane though.

  • ...you would have to invest a little more, but it's worth it...make sure those fuel lines are PROPERLY FITTED!

  • ...are those fuel lines properly fitted...little air bubbles sneaking in here and there? If that the case, then that Cessna of yours will never reach those clouds!...that GMS might not be a wise choice...try something like an O.S.FS-56 4-stroke!

  • Hey Cessna dude. You don't need to "break in" your engine on a test stand; run your plane the way it is out at a parking lot somewhere; and rich tune it while taxing around; you would not only breaking in the inside loose; you'd also notice how your bird reacts.

  • I did not even see this guy even try to adjust the poor needle valve rich. the poor engine is new and starving for fuel, this will eventually blow his glowplug and it will run like crap and he'll blame GMS. A person needs to learn the do's and don'ts of model engines too........

  • GMS .46 huh..

  • GMS .40

  • This is exactly why I run 4 strokes. They're much easier to tune.

  • Pain in the bum trying to tune a motor in that fashion, best to set them up on a bench, mounted to piece of wood held tightly in the vice. Then you can start it up rich and run it for a tank or so and lean things out as it goes,a few tanks of fuel and a tweak here and there and it should be ready to be refitted and fly, shame it got splatted ,we have all done it!!Stew.(PS my father used to love building planes and was a pro at it,but he never flew his "Works of art" for fear of crashing them!!

  • Too bad he didn't want to fly them.

  • I bet the neighbors just love that ..

  • they think its pretty cool

  • It's a shame that it's trashed... It's a beautiful plane.

  • Yeah, it was a nice one. Check out this video to see his new one. watch?v=1OG8Gvo7HJs

  • thats a four stroke is it?

  • Its a 2-Stroke 40 size glow engine

  • How"d he fold his Legs like that at 23 sec.I can"t do that.

  • lol...I don't know man

  • its not cold buddy. 1:55

  • where did he get that plane and how much for like the whole thing, engine and all

  • put the engine inverted a get a new cowling it will lok better

  • Tim where did you learn your basic of RC? Try to learn the basic first. Don't humiliate yourself.

  • This is an older video of the Cessna. it crashed on flight 3 and now i have a new plane. This is only a movie of tuning the engine so it did never leave the ground. The engine is tuned now and we will have videos of flying after 12/25/07

  • way to lean man way to lean

  • let it go man why u waitng hahah:))

  • dude all u need to do is have no glow plug on put the throttle open and turn the prop around about 4 time to get the fuel in the motor then try it see wat happens :)

  • Wow, that's a lot of hits for not much going on.

  • OMG!!! He started this airplane without it not being tied down to anything!!! And why would he pull out the antenna when he is within inches of the model aircraft. That is a huge hazzard because the antenna could get hit by the propeller while the man is carrying it. But this is a nice plane, I love those cessnas.

  • snug in both needles, 2 1/4 turns out on the low side, and 3 turns out on the high side.

  • LOL

  • what a waste of my time watching this, does it even get off the ground!

  • NOOB

  • This is why I stopped flying glow planes. Electrics are so much easier, not as exciting... But more time flying and less time trying to start engines.

  • buy O.S engine and i promisse you you will never have that problem. i fly nothin but os.. was this a thunder tiger?

  • Aw man that thing is so awesome. It's like what 1/6th scale? So how do you make the engine lean or rich? Is it flying well now?

  • It is a pretty big scale D, there are little valves right next to the engine on the carburetor and in the fuel line, by adjusting those you can make it lean or rich at the low or high end of the rpm range. it DID fly well a few times...then it took a nose dive into the football field...oops you can see the last flights of both the planes on this video "ssTKTCHuRA0" (replace the letters at the end if the url)

  • LoL scale D????? Hahahahahaha thats so funny i laughed out loud lol

its called a .40 size airplane just to let you know

could also be around a 1/12th scale size but i would need to know the wingspan

    do yourself a favor....GO ELECTRIC!!!!

  • yes electric is the best way to go. I stopped flying gas cause they sucked. go ELECTRIC!

  • hola, tenes la aguja de alta del carburador muy cerrada, abrila 1 vuelta... you have the "aguja de alta" closed, open 1 "vuelta" i'm from argentina and don't speack english very well... good luck and bye

  • gracias por su ayuda. no sé mucho español, yo utilicé un traductor.

  • I agree with madeljacky. On method of tuning.

  • high end is to lean

  • and that'ssssssssssssss all folks.

  • try using a syring the needle thingy to put a bit of fuel through the air intake and it should start up right away, works for all my rc planes. About the engine stalling, it is because it isn't getting enough fuel. had the same problem with my 72" piper cub

  • Mate, your bottem end is rich and your top end is lean. screw the idle needle in a half a turn and open the top end needle out a turn. It should run reliabley then. A o.s number 8 plug will help to.

  • also try turning the trim up a littel bit so the moter runs a bit faster

  • hay mate you need to let a couple of tanks run in first and leave your glow start on for about 15 sec try using a glow plug #8 they are a lot better and warm up faster

  • The problem is that it's a cheap GMS engine...

  • And thats why we fly electric ones

  • Because all of your glow engines are crap? sounds to me like youve never had a proper glow engine, like mine!

Seriously, the electric ones are just as exspensive as planes with glow engines in em.

  • Here mate, stick your boot in it, always works. Six Nations are we proud Celtic and Free

  • hi m8

your problem is simply that the engine is still fresh, set the main needle rich (2 1/2 turns out and just leave it running on tick over up till half throtte tied back for about 5 tanks ... every 10 mins of running, turn the main needle in a wee bit and run the engine flat out, then take the needle back out and leave it ticking for a wile ....

  • with some engines this will take longer than others, but you will know when it is broke in totally when you can go from idle to full with out any stutters etc..

to final tune your engine ... run it at full throttle with the main needle rich and wind it in untill the engine begines to die (it may stop) from here take the needle out approx 4-6 clicks and you will be tuned perfectly

  • maybe outa gas?!?!?

  • no, it just wasn't tuned right, this was the first time starting it

  • your stupid!

  • is he not adjusting the needle valve

  • here's a tip never ever chopp your throttle! it can ruin your engine!

  • muy bueno !! cuanto te costo ??

  • start engine -never let four cycle warm engine up around 1/4 throttle-you should run full throttle and ajust hi spd needle peek and back off 300 rpm 3to 5 clicks on needle valve- bring back to smooth idle let idle for 15 to 30 sec. take back up to full throttle pick plane up carefullyhold above head nose up and out in front off you a couple off times plane should hold rpms

  • This is why I fly electric!

  • also ur engine needs to run rich is its a new one. u need a tie back to stop model movin while u rev it. u also SHOULDNT fly a model like that for a first plane. also y the hell did u cut the cowl and fit the engine uprite. should b on its side inside the cowl.u need to see a model shop or pilot 4 help. u will crash if u dont.

  • ur receiver switch is round the wrong way for starters. on should b away from u coz if u catch a twig on landing or touch and go it will turn ur radios off. TURN IT AROUND B4 SOMETHING HAPPENS!!!

  • Been there done that. What else is new ? 5% more nitro !

  • if its a new engine you just have to break it in and then it'll run great.

  • I have to say, as unsuccessful as you usually are in your videos, you guys are fairly entertaining. I especially like the one where you try a dead stick landing and completely miss the road. =)

  • Ha yeah... thanks, its hard to be very successful at something you have never done before, but its still fun.

  • I hope you were not getting ready to fly this plane considering you did not know how to tune it. Tune while running. Start rich and close off slowly.

  • nice cessna !!

  • Whats the point of this video? Get it flying and then you got a interesting Video.

  • scrap it

  • ben it's very long we would like to see a flight of your plane

  • you just need to adjust the mixture, it is probably too rich!!!

  • thanks but it doesn't really matter much anymore... (see more recent videos)

  • tim....I saw the crash video...sorry to see that happen, that was a very good looking plane. Who was the manufacturer of it? I've never seen one in blue.

    Pete

  • Isnt priming an engine just getting fule in to it. The technique you use is fine just as long as it works right? My way worked so i see no proboblem with it.

  • Okay first off, your "priming" the engine wrong. Open the throttle up all the way, plug the carb with you thumb and flip the propeller 3-5 times or untill you see fuel in the lines going to the engine, then once or twice with your thumb off. Secondly, rev the engine up all the way and richen your engine. Run atleast a tank or two through it before you lean it out any. And lastly, look for a club around you and have someone teach you how to fly.

  • that prop is sharp and cuts fingers!!! Already ran 3 tanks through it, and we know how to fly, it just takes practice, and there are no clubs around here, besides, the type of people who go to the clubs probably wouldn't like the way we do things anyway, thats why we get so many negative comments...oh well. Thanks for the tips though.

  • No problem, but hey if the propeller is sharp, sand the edges down with some sandpaper! I do it with all of my propellers, and I fly 1/4 scale stuff. Let me know if you have any questions, Im not going to be rude because I was (well we ALL were) where you guys are now. But stick with it!

  • Thanks, if something isnt working right, we usually post a video showing whats going wrong and see if anyone can help

  • Toooooo lean. If people here knew the first thing about these planes, they would understand why you posted this vid. Nice video.

  • Thank you

  • cool plane i hate it when i have to break in engines on my goped can't imagine a plane like that .

  • yeah, i was attempting to tune it. The battrey died on the cam. before it 3wasa right.

  • It's too lean, lol

  • That's why I love Evolution Engines!

  • it just wasnt tuned right. Other than that its a great engine
