@radrcer Speaking as a former shop owner, people have a tendency to buy bikes that are far too large for them, particularly casual riders. MTB fit is different than road bike fit. If you are going to be using your mtb primarily as a touring bike: riding primarily on pavement or fire-roads, then a bike fit for low saddle will probably be more comfortable. For serious off roading however a smaller frame is more nimble and agile. Further, top tube clearance is important.
how should a mountain bike fit you for a triathlon? It looked like that bike was too small for you with the seat up so high and the bars down low.
