well, my passat does almost same on biodiesel , but I am sure your jetta does not do 0-60mph in 4.2 sec either , any car that can do that is a gas guzzler , worse if its amercian, gallons per hp would be better, this is even higher mpg than even a hybrid ford escape

I wouldn't say it's slow. It may not be that fast from 0 to 60 but at higher speeds.....I think it'll be stunning!!!! And don't forget that it's engine is very clean. It has no problems with making Euro 6 norms that will come out in 2015!!! So for me it's a very impresive car.

That number is way conservative.  Audi/porsche usually quotes a half second slower than they actually are. Wait till the magazines test this car; with 737 lb ft of torque and AWD, I woudn't be suprized to see this thing hit mid- 3's 0-60

i dunno why ppl think you can make a WRX have insane power with just "a bit of work done". I owned one, its not that easy and takes quite a few mods and then changing to a bigass turbo which has a lot of lag anyway. EVOs are a little easier to get quick power increases in a few mods. I think what you meant to say is turbo hondas lol, thats some bullshit that can be increased in power easily but stupidly.

0-60 is not everything, the car has 500HP and it will be very quick from 0-160. It will beat a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo with 280HP very easily. barely beats an EVO? The Evo has over 6 seconds from 0-60 and in the car world 1 sec means a world and this car is 2 sec. faster then a Mitsubishi lancer evo from 0-60! Even a supercar with over 800HP will probably have a 0-60 time of 3,7 or so.

It's not the same engine as the Audi R10 TDi. In Le Mans the use a 5.5 V12 TDi which produces 700 bhp and 811 lbft of torque while this 6.0 V12 TDi, the same as the Audi Q7 V12 TDi produces 500 bhp and 738 lbft.
