My iMac is as slow as a Windows and crashes as much as a Windows. But I didn't betrayed Windows. I hated Apple and I hate Apple even more now that I have one of their "wonderful products"... Seriously, ALL my Apple products are gifts from people who know I like computers. But I like WINDOWS COMPUTERS and I curse Apple for its interface that limits users capacities and for all the trend it has now that makes people think Apple makes the best computers in the world. I had to shut it down using the button since Mac doesn't have anti-virus and the only thing I can do is to try to interrupt the virus instalation... When a Windows 7 program crashes: The crashed program will go white and a window will appear asking you to wait or close it. But the OS is unaffected and you can keep working withot restarting.

As well as all the macs in our school (probably about 100) have NEVER crashed, yet the PC's in our school have had over 10 replacements. But, it would be impossible to make a computer that doesn't crash, because the computer has no idea what its going to do before it actually happens. I'd say in my opinion, windows is better, cause there are more programs going for it, and that when a piece of hardware fails, its easy to be fixed. Just my opinion, though
Windows has never froze on me, A 2010 MacBook "Pro" froze on iMovie and the whole PC froze and it wouldn't shut off! Kep't it on for a day and it was still there, frozen. I am not an Apple hater but Macs are PCs, but 9x more expensive and the OS is full of bugs.

Macs dont get viruses written for them because its difficult to make such a thing on a Unix based OS (there goes apple stealing shit again) however trojans are very simple to make just need stupid users (majority of mac users) and to embed the malicious code into code that looks legit. nothing special about a mac at all. On my windows machine I havent crashed once and I havent gotten one piece of malware in the whole year I have had it. My linux laptop hasnt even been shutdown in weeks.

thats called a kernel panic, it happens when you have bad hardware on board, or when you try to install Mac on a PC and you choose wrong drivers (from personal experience)
I find macs crash less than PCs but they still crash. I got that grey box of death a lot on my old mac but it turned out to be my battery swelling up and screwing up the rest of the laptop. They fixed it for free out of the 1 year warranty but still kinda scary as swelling batteries are a fire risk

I have used Macs for 20 years and have never seen this particular screen. Also, I have a G5 Mac (and use PCs at home and at work as well). IMHO Macs don't get get registry crud like PCs or slow down over time. My G5 runs just as well today (with two [in place] OS upgrades, and multiple program installs and updates) as it did the day I bought it.
hey try reinstalling the app ! the problem is when you instal an App close every thing on the back ! that may let the app not instal correctly ! had that too with my office 2008 on mac ! so i just reinstalled and works perfect ! (if that did not help go ask apple call them they will give u some info) or maybe ur macbook cant handle the app or is not designed to be on a macbook or OS you are on !
Macs are PCs, anyone who thinks otherwise is an idiot. PC= Personal Computer and Macs are computers. Macs can crash just like other PCs due to RAM load, HDD fragments etc. It is all about which software or OS is more stable but everything else is the same.
I've never had any of my Windows PCs crash for something that wasn't my fault (bad overclocking, hardware installation problems, etc.). Basically, to all you guys who complain that your PCs crash and got a Mac, it just means you don't know how to use a computer. I got this a lot for a while and it turned out to be my battery swelling up. They had to get a new battery and bottom casing (it broke the battery lock) and then it was fine. I since read it could have gone on fire fairly easily

Macs and PCs both get viruses, but there's just one major difference.
A PC will run many programs without you knowing. These include viruses.
A mac only runs what you want it to run, and nothing will execute itself.
A PC and Mac can get infected, but only a PC will suffer. The virus files on a mac just sit around until PURPOSELY executed.
This is coming from a PC user ; If you don't understand how an OS works or you can't afford a Mac, don't diss or make up crap about it. That's all.

thats called a kernel panic, it happens when you have bad hardware on board, or when you try to install Mac on a PC and you choose wrong drivers (from personal experience)

I find macs crash less than PCs but they still crash. I got that grey box of death a lot on my old mac but it turned out to be my battery swelling up and screwing up the rest of the laptop. They fixed it for free out of the 1 year warranty but still kinda scary as swelling batteries are a fire risk

Now those top rated comments are retarded, a mac will not crash any less than a PC, if it does it has everything to do with the human factor and nothing with the OS/hardware. Nor will a PC get any viruses, because viruses are actually very uncommon in general, malware and trojans on the other hand are more common and will get macs just as well as PC's.
TL:DR Dumbasses bought the same computer for 150% the price and think it crashes less and gets less malware.

@TheSpeedDawg They get less viruses because hackers develop viruses for Windows more often than they do for Macs, because waaayyy more people in the world use Windows. Macs can get a virus just as easy as a PC can. But since Macs are getting more popular, that will soon change.

I have used Macs for 20 years and have never seen this particular screen. Also, I have a G5 Mac (and use PCs at home and at work as well). IMHO Macs don't get get registry crud like PCs or slow down over time. My G5 runs just as well today (with two [in place] OS upgrades, and multiple program installs and updates) as it did the day I bought it.

hey try reinstalling the app ! the problem is when you instal an App close every thing on the back ! that may let the app not instal correctly ! had that too with my office 2008 on mac ! so i just reinstalled and works perfect ! (if that did not help go ask apple call them they will give u some info) or maybe ur macbook cant handle the app or is not designed to be on a macbook or OS you are on !

Macs are PCs, anyone who thinks otherwise is an idiot. PC= Personal Computer and Macs are computers. Macs can crash just like other PCs due to RAM load, HDD fragments etc. It is all about which software or OS is more stable but everything else is the same.

I had an iMac, it broke in less than a month, not software, hardware.
Got it repaired for free, really good, got it back in a week.
Turned it on again, worked fine.... for 10 minutes, broke exactly the same way it did before.
Waiting on my refund coming So I can buy a new PC.

I've never had any of my Windows PCs crash for something that wasn't my fault (bad overclocking, hardware installation problems, etc.). Basically, to all you guys who complain that your PCs crash and got a Mac, it just means you don't know how to use a computer. I got this a lot for a while and it turned out to be my battery swelling up. They had to get a new battery and bottom casing (it broke the battery lock) and then it was fine. I since read it could have gone on fire fairly easily
