  • this isnt computer generated this is reallife

  • Great job! I used to build Airfix 72nd scale models and the markings reminded me of those on the Spit & Mossie models... That gave it away for for me. Like someone else mentioned the JE on the Spits was actually the personal markings on Johnny Johnson's mount (JE_J) although I did noticed that some of them had different letters... Kudos!

  • This is some seriously fantastic craftsmanship! The animator should have been hired by George Lucas for the forthcoming Red Tails, whose CGI looks wholly unrealistic by comparison! (Wait-you're going to tell me you DID work on Red Tails? lol )

  • Amazing CGI !

  • Technology sure has come far..

  • wow. i couldn't tell it was CG until at about 30 seconds into the video that mosquito touched down. amazing

  • Nice animation, and it looks so real. only thing that would improve it is the squadron markings on the aircraft. All the Spitfires had the markings fo Johnny Johnston's Spit JE-J.

  • excellent job on the cg man beautiful work , my dad does the same stuff cept for submarine things for the us navy[ if you want to check it out go to fxmodels.com ] beautiful stuff man awesome!

  • @popsnacks2 Hey man, your dad's work is pretty awesome. I love submarines haha.

  • the original footage is on ou tube. this has been touched up but is not animated.

  • @liveleigh Ha, believe what you want I suppose.

  • all i have to say is wow thats good

  • it all looks so real! :-O

  • Very good stuff, may be its tio much steril , i dont see turbulance, prticles but i think that its very good job!

  • i dont think it is real.. look at the taillight at the end.. and the landing is just a little too smooth to be real.. plus noone wold stand under the wing of a landing aeroplane to film it. Absolutely brilliant animation.. id love to see it in high def

  • its all real...

  • It is real (nubbie1944) is haveing you for a fool lol

  • holy shit, awesome!

  • This is cool and look very real... some scenes more some less but it is great ;)

  • at first it looks very real until the camera starts moving when it's on the ground

  • wow

  • Shadow is too articifial, make it more dynamic when they fly just above ground.

  • I thought they were real since i saw the title of the movie

  • Fantastic work!

  • Real or not they look amazing esp the Spits in formation second shot

  • классно

  • wakey wakey open your eyes it's the real thing, whats up with u dudes? these are back scene takes from 633 squadron and the Battle of Britain from 1966 -1969 come on what up with you lot?

  • lol dude no it's not

  • Превосходная работа мой друг.

  • Cпасибо.

  • I'd like to know who actually made this video. I haven't read all the comments yet , so maybe it's in there....but IF this is CGI , the work is the best i have seen to date. Can someone list the actuall creator's name here please?

  • cool

  • Alright its time to settle things, for those of you saying it's fake take a look again. There are no more airworthy Mosquitoes in the world, much less four if you look closely at 0:37.

  • If you think about it they're saying its real :P

  • There real dude!

one of the moscitos crash a few months after filming this.

  • These are not computer generated. All of these are not.

  • Can you please give me information on this video? I am currently working on learning CGI myself.

  • utterly brilliant...i thought i was seening the real deal for a moment..

  • Definitely not CGI work EXCEPT for maybe adding in some of the background planes that are far off in the distance and hard to see at all.

    It's nice footage though :)

  • Yeah, I'm pretty sure none of it is CGI. Why would someone claim it is?

  • I wouldn't be so sure of yourself, eyes can be tricked easily.

  • The is great, the first 10 seconds are superb. Especially at 00:05, looking down on the spitfires/Mosquitos banking from right to left.

  • What program was this made in? Who made it?

  • I wish simulators looked and sounded like that...

  • daaaamn

  • absolutely awesome, i love mosquitos, brill work guys hope to see more from you

  • cool and alanhudsonesq is my grandad i agree with him cya great film i mean i would want to watch it a hundred times and my grandad always watches world wars and titanics and eroplanes cool stuff

  • come on let,s have about 14 Spitfires or so, in a fly past , by the way this vid is absoluteley the dog,s bollocks, amazing.

  • You should be working in the Movies my friend if you arent already.

How about a spitfire beehive flypast then? say about twenty waves of four would be orgasmic

  • Maya unlimited?

  • I am very impressed with the quality of this 'animation'. It looks very 'real' to me, I wish I could create movies like this! I would dearly like to see some more. I love the mozzy and spitfire. This just brings it back to life - amazing.

  • Holy FRijoles! I didn't want it to ever end!!

  • i am astounded on how well you guys did that! a big pat on the back.did you know they are remaking the dambusters.mel gibson in it,directer is lord of the rings mr jackson.you should help him,get some mosies and spits in it.

  • Absolutely amazing. How the hell did they do that programming.

  • This is superb, congratulations.

The only give away is the prop discs are not as defined as they were in real life. Just about all marques of Mossies had yellow warning tips which created a very visible circle around the spinner.

But thats just being picky . . this is still superb.

  • Holy shit, that is incredible stuff.

Would love some combat scenes :D

  • amazing video

  • need more motion blur.... =(

  • do you make cgi stuff to like this

  • This is really good cgi. They should try using this quality cgi in an actual movie, instead of that cartoon bullshit like u see in transformers...yuk

  • Of course its not CGI. It's 16mm cine footage of the farewell of piston engined planes from 4 squadron before they were replaced with vampires in 1950.

  • superb lots more please

  • I like. A remake of The Battle Of Britain with these computer effects would be great. Heres hoping.

  • hear hear!!

  • The animation is so awsome, and the sound is so incredible. SMOKIN!!!!

  • It's CGI, like what Pixar does to make movies with, this is showing what CGI can do. It's demonstrating how CGI aircraft can be put in movies, and most times you wont notice it.

  • How is that compouter generated?!?!?!?!?!

  • Looks to good to be true!! is this of a game or did you program yourself or do you just have access to some great footage???

  • i am shocked

    is that animated????

    awesome. undescribeable

  • absolutely stunning

  • omg, where did u get this clip nubbie? It looks incredible!!!

  • i know i have it

  • wow this looks realy realistic is there such a clip about german planes ?

  • If you want realistic German aircraft get hold of IL2"Forgotten Battles" and fly almost everything, and some aircraft no one's ever heard of.
