  • 1:08 Watch the guy spraying the water into the intercooler.  The Turbo is sucking in that much air, it's lifting his hood, behind his head. Thats consuming lots of air lol

    I love German cars, so well engineered. But what you wrote is Bullshit. A RB26DETT for Example can be tuned to 600 HP without chaning anything iside the engine. The crankshaft itself can take nearly 1000HP. And the most important thing is: Its all about the Tuner, not the basic engine! Sure, for having more than 500HP you need a engine block that can take it. Everything else are parts that can be changed to better ones.

  • this pull did not do more than 874 hp because the guy that adjustet the wastegate turned it the wrong way. im the 3`rd person from the left. have seen this car do alot more than this shiti pull.

  • I believe it, not only I drive a 5 cyl but also go to NADC and I been around 1200bhp before. But I have a question where could I find a R5TDI block and a RS2 head here in US and I would like to know the specifications on this car to believe it a little bit more

  • @harm1727r You don't need an RS2 head, or even necessarily a TDI block, you just have to build your engine properly, get a big enough turbo to support that boost, run the best ported 20v head you can afford, most importantly, build the bottom end, and run methanol, and then, lots, and I mean lots, of cash. It's very possible, and this is real. Your S6's motor would be the perfect starting point, just build the motor as strong as you can afford before attempting this power level.

  • I own one of each, a 93' Audi s4 (2.2 5 cyl turbo and aa 66' ford galaxie ( 390 ci big block ) The galaxie turns more heads but my s4 is a serious sleeper that makes mustang owners cringe when my turbo spools up, c ya!

  • why not? the Block has nothing to do with the RPM... You don't believe they kept the stock Pistons and piston rods, do you?

    Influence on the possible RPM:

    -valve springs

    -pistons and rods (mechanical toughness)

    Ignition and ECU setup as well as fuel injektors (fuel pressure versus opening time)

    -flywheel (burst RPM)

    -piston speed (lubricating oil film)

    and thats it. Thay use the diesel block because it's tougher, thats all.

  • @discocreator76 Please...that's a pretty bold statement. Ever notice how all great designs first come out of Europe.? You need to understand that the 5 cylinder was super competitive back in the early 80s and a lot of that technology made it into the AAN engine. I'm currently building a street 2.5 liter AAN engine which will make a reliable 400 HP on pump fuel. Old skool? Maybe, but very effective and in a MUCH better package than any similar Asian car.
