Surprisingly no. I do wear my boots and riding pants all the time so that blocks some of the heat. The motor is open so the air blows the heat no problem.
@nicktacular06 My Father has a BMW R100 GS classic don't know what year. I live in Australia and I've been on many trips on that bike. And Just on small question is What is the legal age in your country. Nice bike and video.
Nice! USA age is 16 for car, 18 for motorbike and 18 for semi truck (lorry) I understand AU is very strict on licenses. You have to have permits and be 21 until you receive the full license??? Im saving up to visit AU soon! What part you in?
Thanks very much for the info well done mate, it helped a lot.I do all the servicing on my bikes myself (apart from changing tyres) what's the ADV like to work on? ie oil & filter change, air filter, brake pads or servicing in general? Once again thank you for the vid and look forward to see more.
I knew I would forget stuff! This bike is made for you to do your service. The tool kit I bought will disassemble the entire bike. You need to buy Helge Petersen's DVD, he's created a 3 hour video specially made for the GS. Look up """"Globe riders BMW R1200GS Adventure touring instructional DVD""" Oh! He also shows you how to change your own tyres!!! Talk to you later Mr. Joe =)
